Cool Frag recommendation for SO :D

    Hi All,

I'm looking for a summer fragrance for my SO, as I feel all his current scents are too thick for the heat. I introduced him to the wonderful world of perfumery by buying him some samples and bottles and now I've created a monster, lol.

He adores the sample of Amouage Reflection for men (which I hate lol, and was a total surprise judging from the bottles he owns), and also likes his Blv by Bvlgari, Spicebomb, Dior Homme.

Any clues on something interesting I could get him for our anniversary? I could get him samples first, of course.
Perfume appeals to my nose the way music appeals to my ears, exquisite food to my taste buds, photography to my eyes, and great loving from my man to my sense of touch.

I can safely conclude, then, that PERFUME IS ART in its purest form.

As an artist, I therefore have a responsibility to buy as much perfume as I can. You know, to learn about art and all.

    Get him:

Aqua Fahrenheit by Christian Dior - This is a considerably toned down version of the original, masterpiece Fahrenheit. No negative connotation is implied or should be taken; rather, this is a distinctive composition, somewhat bright and fresh, with ties to the original.
Initially, one is treated to a blast of sparkling grapefruit, with its sour greenness, tempered by a hint of sweetness from the mandarin. This invigorating, citrus melange is drawn to the heart by a nascent mint. Here, in the heart, the cool spearmint comes into its own with its sweet, green facets, and commingles with violet leaf, with its intense freshness and a hint of cucumber. Basil infuses the refreshing blend with a lively dusting of its lemon-like, savory herb. A very faint undercurrent of petro/gasoline can be sensed. Transitioning to the base, a rather ordinary, woods accord presents, and interplays with a light, almost airy, Haitian vetiver as well as a subtle leather. A placid drydown ensues. This high-quality composition is bright and fresh, and should prove to be very versatile. Having average projection and longevity, this scent will, indeed, shine in the spring, summer and fall.

I like vetivers in the heat, they're fresh, slightly vegetal and natural smelling. My favorites are Chanel Sycomore (only at Chanel boutiques) and $$$ Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire. Sycomore has a touch of woods, while VE is pure fresh. Easier to find, Guerlain Vetiver and Tom Ford Grey Vetiver.
