Talking which oud scents are more easy to wear?

I see mostly of oud scents seems to be so loud that makes them quite dificult to wear. Can you tell me some oud scents that are easy to enjoy and wear? I like m7 by the way, even if people say its not a good oud.

I can't think of any quiet oud scents. Some of the attars (Al Haramain, Swiss Arabian, etc.) are nice, but the oud is either upfront or buried under tons of roses and spice. I happen to like oud, but in the summer heat and humidity, it can be a bit much. It's fine in the dead of winter. I'm sure there is one that you'll like out there, somewhere. It's just a matter of trail and error to find it.

Absolutely these 3, also Bond No. 9's NY Oud and Noir de Noir.

Kilian's Cruel Intentions is not overly loud if you don't overspray. Notes of bergamot and rose, and a little neroli blend well into the oud so that it isn't overpowering.

Rakaan by Swiss Arabian is one of the few FRESH GREEN oud fragrances out there. You should definitely read up on it . One review on fragnatica thrashes it but I would not rule it out. I sampled it then ordered a bottle. You get a strong citrus and greens mixed with a westernized oud. Very nice and very affordable.

Chances are no one else will have it or have heard of it.

In my experience, TF Oud Wood and Creed Royal Oud are both relatively easy to wear and perhaps a little more easily palatable than other stronger or more concentrated ouds. It's also my opinion that Dior's Leather Oud is about as subtle as a flying brick and absolutely poison in the wrong hands.

MY favorite oud, By Kilian Pure Oud, is very wearable, light and altogether charming. I imagine some people who love big in your face ouds would consider it wimpy. But really it smells a lot like my Cambodian oud oil. Very similar. I love it. L'artisan Al Oudh is very wearable. There are other ouds that are wearable, some of them don't smell much like oud

Having passed on most of the oud-trend I'd recommend you the one that has become some kind of legend: Black Aoud by Montale. If you get the juice without the "turbo boost" extra concentration it certainly "ain't misbehaving". In my perception Black Aoud is widely regarded as one of the most successfull creations of Montale; and many people reported a lot of positive feedback from others.

M7 to me but I dont consider it to be oud centered fragrance. Everything else with oud (montales, juliette has a gun) that I tried is just too oudish.

Mona di Orio's Oud is very wearable and warm - but not cheap.

I agree with Shiny Beast about Dior's Leather Oud. On the right person it might be subtle, and the oud note isn't as medicinal as in some other ouds, but it can be insanely BO-style skanky too.

I recently discovered The Body Shop's Amber Oud, which is a nice oud without being overpowering (and for the record, I'd categorize NY Oud, TF Oud Wood, Creed Royal Oud, and Montale as overpowering for the OP's purposes). Very cheap too, if you can find it.

I find these Oud frags easy to wear as long as you do not overapply:

    Dark Oud
    Tom Ford Oud Wood
    Creeds Royal Oud
    Oud Stars Mamluk
Diors Leather Oud ( perfectly fine as long as you do not wear it in the heat where the civet can come out more)

Totally agree - I see nothing subtle about Leather Oud. Extremely skanky to me.

I don't like heavy, skanky oud but own and very much enjoy Maison Francis Kurkdijian's Oud, Mona di Orio's Oud, M7, Khaliji by Al Rehab and Jil Sander Man Absolute, which has an oud note in it's composition.

Agree with the Maison Francis Kurkdjian recommendation and the L'Artisan also...those seem almost like they were made for people who don't like oud.

Couldn't agree more. I love Royal Oud, just an incredible scent! I'm looking to pick up Oud Wood after sampling in Atlanta last month. I hope other Ouds are not as abrasive as Dior Leather Oud, I'm just now regaining consciousness from that very brick...
