OMG....that is gorgeous!
I woke up not so long ago and clicked onto Perfumeshrine to discover this .
The bottle is certainly out of this world gorgeous * pant pant pant * - 490 ml of extrait housed in the midnight blue Baccarat crystal quadrilobe flacon. Makes me want to sell my soul for it !.
However, there is also another reformulation of L'heure Bleue by Thierry Wasser. I wonder what it will be like ??!
This is the link for the article on Perfumeshrine. http://www.perfumeshrine.com/

OMG....that is gorgeous!
We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men. ~Herman Melville
The bottle looks gorgeous, but count me in as skeptical. Guerlain has been hit hard by IFRA, and the focus on the bottle after they had so unceremoniously reformulated HB right before the 100th birthday suggests that the priorities are all wrong.
Perfumeshrine appears positive, though it's not clear from the review if she has smelled it or not. HB was based on heliotropin and eugenol, and they are now restricted, so we shall see what Wasser manages to do. Or perhaps not, the price probably will probably make it unattainable.
The 'white musk * scares me , Cacio !
L'heure Bleue, even after its recent reformulations still was an absolute beauty but after reading the notes mentioned by Helg / Elena... well , it makes me sad.
I mean, I think Wasser will try and keep close to the character of L'Heure Bleure but as you said, eugenol and heliotropin..... what is L'Heure Bleue going to be minus the needed amounts in it.
That is another scary word - modernised. Modernised + white musk equals something different than L'Heure Bleue.

L'Heure Bleue Extrait was reformulated as per end of 2010 (batch code), when Guerlain kindly exchanged my bottle for Vol de Nuit. I was devastated - it was so bland and dull IMO. The EdP I smelled this April chez Guerlain Maison in Paris was sharper and somewhat more synthetic. L'Heure Bleue is history and I could not care less for yet another fancy bottle issued big style. Get the vintage EdTs that are left on the market (anything else hardly ever shows up these days), it's all by far superior than anything issued today under its name.
The bottle is very nice indeed.
It is staggeringly beautiful , but 11,000 Euro .....
Like I said - I must sell my soul or find a Sugar Daddy !
I do adore the Guerlain Baccarat blue bottles starting with the vintage Coque d'Or flacons .
Cacio - very cunning strategy employed by Guerlain to unveil the reformulation at this time of the Centenary Year of L'Heure Bleue ! Push the new formulation when perhaps sales will be greatest thus forcing it upon us all and acceptance of it. Oh cynical moi !

The bottle is very nice but when you take a second look I was surprised just how phallic it appears to be. Is Mr Wasser is trying to tell us something?
Elena from perfumeshrine calls it a 'penis gland cap' !
Frankly , it's never occured to me before - the innocent little girl , I am ! ( not ..... )
LOL! Mimi, great post.
Yes, it IS phallic.
It is nevertheless a lovely bottle and I am sure that I can't afford it.
Please let us know if L'Heure Bleue is changed. I liked Shalimar Initial by Thierry Wasser, so this might be a flanker? Like Shalimar Eau Legere?
"No elegance is possible without it...perfume is a part of you." Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel
Yes every perfume board has said about the penis head. Is it to distract us from the juice???
For me L'Heure Bleu was always about the heliotrope, if they have lost it, oh dear. I have a small about say 7mls parfum from the 80s and my edp is from the 90s. I shall treasure both even more now.
Not only is it phallic, but it could use a little manscaping.
I will never look at the quadrilobe bottle in the same way again ! *LOL*
There was some further comments at Perfumeshrine that this could be a separate version from the original - a Thierry Wasser version whilst the current bottle remains the same in formula as before.
It's a bit confusing - nobody has really clarified this . I hope the limited edition edition is just another version of L'Heure Bleue and will not replace the usual formula.
However, if I were to spend thousands of clams on a bottle of L'Heure Bleue extrait in an extra special bottle , I am sorry Mr. Wasser, but I would want the usual formula.
so is this THE reformulation due to EFRA regulations on heliotropin and eugenol? Or is that just another reformulation? Which version is safe to buy?
My bottle of EDT, which I love, has the code 1N01. Cacio? Help!
Don't even know if this is THE code. There isn't any other code.
Glad that I still have about 45 ml. That will last for a while...
PS: it sounds as if the 2012 reformulation is just a special addition which is not meant to replace the normal EdT. What do you think? More like what Insolence is to Après l'ondée...
Btw, I'm still waiting on some escort recommendations, as I'm a few bob short and the state of the economy isn't going to make me mega-rich overnight (and Youtube isn't all that it's cracked up to be)....
Trebor....you crack me up...
I'm afraid the only part of the 2012 anniversary addition I will own will be a copy of this photograph
Sync'in and Think'in in 2015!
Me too ,Knit- this photograph is all I will get. I can spritz the photo with L'Heure Bleue and there you have it. My husband would say it is the wise choice .
Here is a link to Octavian Coifan's beautiful recent article on L'Heure Bleue .It's very interesting and really worth a read though, it may break your heart , just that little bit more in re. to L'heure Bleue.
I really wish they would leave my favorite scent alone. Now I'm really going to have to make my bottles last!
I better get a few bottles before the reformulation sets in, when does the reformulation start production?

the reformulation started sometimes around 2010. So it's already late. Perhaps there's still some old juice around, but it's hard to distinguish.
The bottle was beautiful right up until I made a connection, and then what was seen could not be unseen.
I can't say L'Heure looks particularly virile in this state, though...
