Dior-Bois D' Argent
I already voted, so dont take seeing the name of the fragrance as an official vote, but thatd be weird if Egoiste got no votes, because it is arguably the most loved fragrance here
Dior-Bois D' Argent
I thought when terre came out the fragrance industry would forfeit. Then Aventus greased the gears. I'm team AVENTUS, death to others. So please...if you would... BOW TO THY KNEES!
looks like team Aventus is an early frontrunner

Patou pour homme
II est de forts parfums pour qui toute matière/Est poreuse. On dirait qu'ils pénètrent le verre.
But shouldn't you have nominations first and parties, conventions, and a campaign, followed by a final run-off secret ballot vote? What's the fun if Team Fahrenheit can't run a smear campaign against Aventus (and its secret conspiracies to take over the world)?

Boy, thats a tough one, but I would like to throw Eau Sauvage Extreme-Christian Dior(the vintage formulation)intothe competition
I subscribe to the theory that the rings of saturn are composed entirely of lost airline luggage.
Farenheit, no doubt about it.
I don't know if I have at least 20 posts, but I am a Basenoter since 2007. I think I must have the right to vote.
Fille en Aiguilles. It's comfort food for my schnoz.

Serge Lutens - Fille en Aiguilles
My own personal favourite would stand no chance (PS London), so I will use my vote to nominate a more formidable contender; Acqua di Parma Colonia
Another vote for the Creed - Aventus machine!
Interesting concept - totally random.
A scent should only be considered if it has historical context, in my perspective, and can be worn and adorned year-round. And, to that notion and thought...I vote for (in all of its wonderful and glorious formulations and bottlings of the last 51 years) - Guerlain's Vetiver.
“Some perfumes are as fragrant as an infant’s flesh, sweet as an oboe’s cry, and greener than the spring; While others are triumphant, decadent or rich; Having the expansion of infinite things, like ambergris and musk, benzoin and frankincense, which sing the transports of the mind and every sense.”
― Charles Baudelaire, The Flowers of Evil & Paris Spleen
L'Air du Desert Morocain-Tauer
Amouage Lyric Man, Jubilation XXV TF Oud Wood, Plum Japonais, Oud Fleur, AVENTUS..
*CRYSTAL FLACON SPLITS*
Amouage Lyric Man, Jubilation XXV, TF Oud Wood, Plum Japonais, Oud Fleur, Dior Leather Oud
Green Irish Tweed
Eau de Cartier
Dior Homme Intense
For the moment, I guess it would be Terre d'Hermes.
Derby - Guerlain
Ummmm.....tough one. Should I choose DZING!, Acqua di Cuba, Eau des Iles, Piper Nigrum, Route de Vetiver, Nostalgia, BdP, L'Autre, etc etc etc. I recently tried the new Eau Sauvage Parfume and found it WONDERFUL! I also have positive memories of sampling MKK, Sables, Biche dans L'Absinthe. OK.....I'm buying time. OK, I vote as my "all around" favorite :
CREED Tabarome Millesime.
Let's get Aramis on the board o' champions.
No one has picked it, so there's not much hope for it winning, but I love it: Sycomore
Heritage - Guerlain
Good luck Invasion Barbare!!!!
Ok guys, one more day to vote then this thread will be closed! If you haven't voted yet, do so now! Also, if you already voted and see that your selection has no chance to make the playoffs, nows your opportunity to edit your post and change your vote to something that has a reasonable chance. Good luck!
M7 YSL (vintage)
This sounds like something the basenotes database admin can research. Query the database for the top votes-getters from this year. Then start polls or head-to-head vote-offs with various pairs; winner advances. Besides, I find it easier to pick the best of two choices rather than my overall top.
Just my two cents.
My vote: Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme
We're all aware that BN does something annually... right? Creed Royal Oud got the nod for new kid on the block and TdH for the fav over time --- http://www.basenotes.net/content/110...er-Awards-2012
Ah, for shitz-n-grins: K10
Simplex Sigillum Veri
Similar threads do emerge on BN from time to time. One champion? I don't think so... but I know its not Aventus. I'll vote for
Égoïste Cologne Concentrée

As im tallying the votes right now just to see where it stands, im noticing a lot of fragrances are tied with two votes and if they just get an extra vote theyd make the playoffs. right now i have tallied 7 or 8 definite playoff fragrances. The rest are tied at 2 votes each. Nows the chance to edit your post if you have something that doesnt seem like its gonna make it, and vote for a frag with 2 votes that you enjoy and think deserves a shot!
frags with 2 votes so far:
Versace Pour Homme
Fille en Aiguilles
Help some off these with two votes make it to the playoffs! Voting ends tomorrow sometime.
vintage tabarome. have a huge flacon of it.
What im gonna do, is if there are ties at the end, i will make the selections based of of the positive reviews on basenotes. The fragrance with more likes will have the advantage. This thread will also be closed in about in about 30 minutes to an hour.
Voting is over! THIS THREAD IS CLOSED!!!
And the winner is...?
Votings closed guys, vote in the round 1 thread
