I think Bois d'Armenie by Guerlain smells somewhat similar to Musc Ravageur, though a little more expensive.
I dont often use this word to describe scents but both of those mentioned above are gorgeous!!. I gave them both another shot and was blown away. Especially with Leather Oud. It smells so rich. I mustve fell asleep sniffing my wrist lol.
I have decants of both of them and will try to make them last.
Just wondering if there is anything out there which smells similar?

Personally haven't found anything similar to either yet.
Hemut Lang EDP and EDC are Musc Ravageur' prototypes (both by M.Roucel). For something (somewhat) similar to Leather Oud you might want to try Bond N.9 Harrods Oud or Oud Cuir D'Arabie...
You need to try Tribute by Amouage.

People seem to think Méharées Acqua di Profumo is comparable to Musc Ravageur.

As others have said Helmut Lang EDP is similar to Musc Ravaguer, you may also want to try Coromandel by Chanel. As far as Leather Oud, Harrods Oud and Oud Cuir D'Arabie are in the same ball park, you may want to try the Xerjoff Oud Stars line if you want to further experiment with oud.
Something quite similar to Dior's Leather Oud accord is folded very neatly into Songe d'un Bois d'Eté from Guerlain, underneath a terrific aromatic brew and a fairly decent Cedar / Woods note. It makes up a part of the triangle, sort of thing. Demachy & Wasser share a lab - I wonder if they shared notes/materials as they were developing these? Anyway, if you like Leather Oud and want to see what it's like dialed down a bit as part of a more complex aromatic woods type composition give the Guerlain a shot - strongly recommended!

With Dior Leather Oud, this is called Loss of consciousness.
A few fragrances mentioned several times here, so they will go towards the top of the list.... but wont overlook the others mentioned too. Should be able to get hold of the Helmut Lang, so thats one ticked off the list to start with
Thanks again![]()
