    Default La Nuit YSL

I tried the original L'Homme by YSL. I really liked it, though I never fell in love with it or deeply consider buying it. I still have to try La Nuit

I think this one has been out for a few years, though its not too old. For some reason now I see it a lot more often in stores and now theres a lot more discussion on it in these forums than last year.

    Any particular reason?

I believe La Nuit is the ideal "night out" scent now, for the average Joe. I have a couple friends who are girls, and when I talk to them about fragrances, they say La Nuit is the sexiest. It has been featured on many of these sites, like GQ, Askmen, and others, which have a lot of "average Joe's". At one point, these sites hyped up Antidote, by V&R, and a lot of people were rocking it.

Gave it five chances; it failed every single time.

Can be too powdery and sweet for some people.

Among recent scents being launched by global designers, one of the best, IMHO

I recommend the EdP version. It's very nice, more complex and rich than the EdT. Best for cool weather wear, IMO.

I really enjoy La Nuit (EDT), and it constantly gets bashed here but, I could care less. Wear what you like and don't pay attention to what others think. I didn't particularly care for the EDP and prefer L'Homme to it.

Both La Nuit and L'Homme receive a lot of scorn here, but I think both are excellent scents and you can't go wrong with either. As for why it is so commonly seen in stores and receives ample talk here, I believe it is because it is a very, very popular scent that just keeps gathering steam in the marketplace.

Teetering on the feminine side, La Nuit De L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent is a humdrum composition.

It smells like a flea market version of DHI, if you get my drift.

At least the EDP, if not even the EDT concentration as well still manage to stand out as a not too generic evening/nighttime scent, as far as my nose is concerned, I do perceive the EDP version of La Nuit having some additional edge, versatility, of course, longevity, but also complexity compared to most scents and flankers from the L'Homme lineup, but also in comparison to other designer scents crafted and released roughly during the same timeframe.

I love it. One of my favorites. I get hardly any compliments though.

As a designer scent. In a world over populated and over sprayed of Le Male and 1 Million this was my night out clubbing scent. Stands out from the rest of the sheep.
