    Default Seasonal night scent

I've mentioned this many times, but I'm new to the fragrance world. One of the things I've been working on is finding scents to wear for each season. I know not everyone does this, but it's fun for me (I'm also the guy that gets giddy when I perfectly match a wine with dinner). I also enjoy wearing a day scent, working out after work, showering, and wearing a night scent (some just for home, some for when my wife and I go out). Anyway--since I don't know what I want/like, I've been loading up on samples. As of right now, I think I'm set sample-wise for fall and winter. However, I have very little for the warmer months as summer is nearly an end.

SO...once I begin stocking up on spring/summer scents, I have a wish list of day scents, but I don't see many people refer to fragrances as the "perfect spring/summer night" scent. Suggestions? Favorites? Maybe ingredients/notes to look for in a good warmer, night scent?

    Thanks!!

Holy crap...you nearly have one thousand posts since MAY?!?!

I like the list...many of which are on my To Try list...some I even have currently, but thought they were better worn in the day (GIT, for example).

Man...most of these are new to me. Back to researching (something I actually enjoy doing)!! I recognize most of the houses, though, and even own a few samples of other scents of theirs.

I've found the same problem. Most evening fragrances are also described as fall/winter frags, and most summer/spring frags are described as daytime frags. What are we supposed to wear at night during the summer, or for the daytime in the winter?!

All jokes aside, I've been wearing YSL La Nuit a lot in the evenings this summer and I think it works quite well.

Most of my fragrances are either night, or hybrid. Here are some that I really like
    Thierry Mugler - Angel Men
Thierry Mugler - Pure Malt (night or day)
    Burberry London
Diesel Fiel for Life (night or day)
Yves Saint Laurent - La Nuit De L'Homme
Perry Ellis 360 Red (a "spicy" version of AdG, so it works well at night)
    Givenchy - Play Intense
    TL - Black Soul

^^Nice I really don't mind that kind of homework, though. It's a nice break from all the papers I have to grade.

MikeJ: I have the two Mugler's on my To Try list, but I thought everyone here calls Burberry London a winter scent...specifically Christmas time? Regardless...I have a sample, so I'll give it a try. Thanks!!

I'd go Cartier. Particularly Roadster or Pasha Menthe. They've got a lot of good woodsy/herbal options that would be good summer night/fall anytime scents.

I have a couple Aqua di Parma scents on my list...a couple Cartier as well (don't remember which ones right now)...As for YSL, so far, I've run about 50/50 on their scents. I've liked about 50 percent of the ones I've tried. La Nuit, however, did not sit well on me. I could see why many like it...and I liked it on the test card...but it just didn't work ON me. L'Homme sat very well on me in the store, and I now own a sample of that to play with some more. Excited about that one.

Most people associate Burberry London with the winter. In actuality, it's very versatile. I see it more of a "vibe" based fragrance, as opposed to one you decide on based on the weather.
