I second 1725 by Histoires de Parfums. There is a noticable almond-vanilla accord.

    Have you tried:

    Soft candied almond/ heliotrope:

    • AdP Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo di Sicilia-- a soft almond that is reminiscent of a root beer float!
    • Hilde Soliani Conaffetto-- a pricier version of Mandorlo di Sicilia, with a fleeting orange blossom thrown in (see Luckyscent)
    • L'Artisan Jour de Fête-- an almond that makes you think of Play Doh the first time you smell it, and candied almonds afterward -- very comfortable scent, and the first L'Artisan I bought a full bottle of. Discontinued, but bottles appear on eBay from time to time.

    "Cherry" almond:

Provence Santé Sweet Almond (see Baudelaire soaps website)

Lumière Blanche by Olfactive Studio has a delicious almond note!

After the initial cardamom opening blast has slowed down, it turns into a milky almond-sandalwood scent
with sparkling notes here and there. It only doesn't last long, at least on my skin. But I happily
spray again once in a while.

    Cheers

There's a strong almond note in the gorgeous Shem-el-Nessim (Grossmith), though you have to wait a while (say, 30 mins) for it to develop. But it's worth the wait.

Antico Caruso (Profumum) is a pretty nice straight-up almond with a bit of a Euro barber shop vibe about it (to me at least).

Almond is often reproduced with heliotropin, which is now restricted, so who knows what is going to happen. But for the moment, +1 Etro heliotrope and, way out there, $$$ JAR Jarling. More floral, also Kiss me tender by de Nicolai.

A couple of days ago, I smelled Mandorla (= almond) by l'Erbolario, and it is quite good and cheap. But I do not think it is available in the US.

Primrose- I just want to add my love for L'Occitane's almond range. I love the smell of that range and often remarked to their SAs that I wish L'Occitane did an actual scent to accompany the oil, cream, shower gel. Absolutely heavenly aroma !

I was on an almond kick for a while. To the lists above you may want to add Lagerfeld Jako, which has a faint almond undercurrent; or Boucheron Pour Homme, from what I remember.

I could never find an almond cologne I enjoyed. For soaps, the Santa Maria Novella Sapone di Madorle and the Caswell Massey Almond Cold Cream are both outstanding. They're the best almond soaps on the market that I've encountered.

Note that almond often gets very, very cloying, especially when mixed (as it often does) with vanilla or coconut notes. Blue Mediterraneo, for example, to me is very close to soft serve vanilla ice cream, which, while delicious, is not something I want to smell like.

EDIT: Okay, I'm an idiot. I thought this was the men's forum and posted this by mistake before realizing I was among the fairer sex. Still, most of what I said works for either gender. Jako and Boucheron, however, are marketed primarily to men, I believe (Jako may be discontinued as well).

Not a perfume, but Perlier white almond body cream is delicious and long lasting scent, they sell bath products and a body spray as well. Sometimes you can find it at TJ Maxx and the perlier website regularly has BOGOF sales. It has the best almondy notes similar to the almond in PotL Luctor et Emergo, at least to my nose.

The new Alien Essence Absolue has a divine & prominent note of heliotrope. Even if you don't enjoy the original Alien, you may love this one!

Hey - I, too, have been on an almond kick recently. (My inquiry thread is here: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/302...ag-recs-please!)

I've been working my working through many of the recommendations here. My faves so far are Confetto and Luctor & Emergo. (The body cream of the latter is TDF! I got a sample of it from Surrender to Chance.)(I think.)

I agree! I had a hand cream from the Almond series, and it was delicious. But I got sick of it after a while.
