I have the EDP and think it's very nice. Don't believe there's much difference in the notes but not sure.

Thanks for the input! From reading reviews online, it basically reads as it's stronger with not much difference in composition.

I have both but prefer the EDT. It is still very strong (wears more like a normal EDP) and incredibly long lasting. The EDP is nice too, but quite heavy on citrus; it has more of a mature/old-school vibe and takes much longer to dry down to the vanilla/powdery base.

I own the EDT version, and it has excellent sillage and stayingpower. I can`t even imagine why there is need for an EDP version of this beautiful and classy fragrance. One of the best male orientals ever created.

I'm beginning to think there is no need for the EDP.

I'd say go for the EDP. I've owned its miniature version and its a fabulous scent !! Im sure the EDP would have much more project and longevity than the EDT version

If you're after a more crisp and prominent citrus then go for the EDT.
If you prefer a slightly richer/denser oriental then go for the EDP.
    They are both very good.

Interesting. I get much more citrus from the EDP.

They're both excellent, but when it came time to buy I went with the EDP.

Agree the edp is richer in the citrus notes and they carry more into the midnotes. The edt is more spicy on clove and coriander and such. The edt is long lasting and Carey's a strong wake.
