That is my understanding. I have a decant of #2 and I love it. I haven't smelled the first and only briefly sniffed the tall bottle in Vegas a couple of years ago.

The last picture of the *ugly* square bottle with a wood border with Derby on the side is the latest as far as i know.

I don't think Derby was re-reformulated, but they did change bottle styles to the third bottle you have pictured. That is the current style.
    I've trademarked the color bleu

Well it has definitely been reformulated from the original juice. Was wondering the difference between 2 & 3?

Maybe I didn't say it right ... AFIK, 2 and 3 are the same juice, just different bottle styles.

I am ashamed to say that I have never sniffed out derby. I hear it is worth owning.

I love the square bottle But mostly because it somewhat matches my other Guerlains.

My Derby isn't even reflected in your pictures. Mine looks like the Habit Rouge bottle and the old Vetyver bottles but with a dark blue label that says Derby.

Very cool. That one is presumably between the original "step pyramid" and the bee bottles - at least, I would guess. I bought a bee bottle shortly before they went to the wood-lined rectangular bottle. And I'll add that there was - supposedly - no change in juice during that last rebottling.

Exactly. You can still get Derby in the bee bottle from Guerlain at Champs Elysees but it's available only in 250ml and 1lt formats. You have to pre-order it and it takes up to 90 days to get delivered (I'm not sure you want me to mention the price).

I tried Derby only in the recent formulation and I must say...I was deeply underwhelmed. As an illiterate in terms of visual aesthetics I have nothing to say against the design of the bottle. But I believe this is the only thing one would argue about because the liquid wasn't really something to write home about.

A quart of Derby! Holy mackerel. One would have to be the MdM of Derby to use that up. My bee bottle is barely tapped.

One of the things I love about Derby is that, when it evaporates and gets oxidized in my atomizer (I've had some leaks inside the atomizer, too), it just gets better and better. Richer, more complex, and more stunning. I'm sure this isn't true for all fragrances, but Derby ages well.

I do not believe that Derby has been re-formulated a second time. The third bottle is Guerlain's attempt at dressing it up so as to reach a wider market. I have sniffed the re-formulated Derby and I have also sniffed the newest bottle of Derby. They smell exactly alike. Very, Very good. Unfortunately, I have never sniffed the original formulation of Derby. Have a great Saturday all.

If you love Sous Le Vent, then you'll most likely love Derby too. It's good stuff but that new square bottle ,to me, takes away a lot of Guerlain mystique. Love the bee bottles.

My understanding was also that there was no reformulation between the 2nd and 3rd bottles. Take that for what it's worth though, as I'm definitely not a Guerlain-o-phile...

I have no clue who they were targeting with that boxy wooden thingamajig for - of all scents - Derby. It's like ensconcing Tiffany jewelry in Pokémon balls. An unmitigated WTF.
