I'd take both, I like both, but if I had to choose only one, I'd settle for Polo Sport.

I owned Polo Sport but disliked it. I have never tried the Adidas...

For an older (1997), readily available and relatively inexpensive "sport" fragrance, I would recommend trying Claiborne Sport.
Just because it happened to you doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I used to like Polo Sprt but last time I tried it there was a "maple syrup" note that I really couldn't stand. So I said Addidas by process of elimination...unless they use that note

i think the sport genre is less subject to changes over the years than other categories and i think these two remain modern. that being said, how "old school" do you think these feel in comparison with modern scents of the same genre?

POLO SPORT used to be my favorite scent as a child. It was almost the official fragrance of indie and underground hip-hop culture around 1995-1997. It was my 2nd bottle of cologne ever, after Brut-Actif-Blu, and before Cool Water or Bowling Green. It's clear that Polo Sport, Cool Water, and Bowling Green were very true to my current taste in fragrance as well.

Polo Sport has those wonderfully oceanic, effervescent topnotes, but the newest formulation is just too heavy on that muted, blunt, syrupy "gingerwood" base, and the minty, effervescent, oceanic, seaweed/pineapple/lemon/mint topnotes don't have the presence in the mix they once did, it seems.

But no question I'd take Polo Sport over Adidas moves.

By default, Polo Sport. I have fairly tried to warm up to Adidas Moves and was gifted a bottle a while back but eventually the bottle became a hot potato between friends and no one would claim it. It was our "Old Maid" card.

To be fair, Polo Sport is not bad either.
