Perfectly wearable by women! Go for it!
Thread: Rochas Man for a woman??
This is my first post so please bear with me!
After years of living with a solitary "signature scent" I discovered a small perfume shop that has opened my mind & senses to the wondrous world of perfume! Every month I allow myself a new scent (or two) and am open to trying new things. The shop owner knows what appeals to me & just brings me her selections without telling me what they are. She feels that a name or price shouldn't influence what I like. Love it!! The favorites go on to the skin test.
I got spritzed with 3 today & now, hours later, the scent I can't stop sniffing is Rochas Man!! My problem is that I don't know if this is something I really want to wear or just sniff on the neck of a man. (unfortunately no one to gift right now) Is this scent too masculine for a woman or am I just being paranoid over a name?
Perfectly wearable by women! Go for it!
This fragrance is a gourmand so it can be worn by anyone who finds it pleasing. As long as the lavender and bergamot of the opening, which is somewhat tempered by sweet vanilla, is not harsh for you, then the rest is a piece of cake.
My review ↓↓↓ may help:
Rochas Man by Rochas - In its opening, a pleasing lavender and bergamot arouse the senses. From afar, a sweet and creamy vanilla bobs eagerly. Thankfully, the lavender remains throughout the composition to rein in the sweetness. The tantalizing vanilla does intrude on that grassy lavender, and brings its sugary sweetness to the fore, steering it to its heart. The middle beckons, stewing with its coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, cedar, and rasberry notes, as well as some, lovely jasmine and lily-of-the-valley accords. The sweet vanilla blends nicely with the heart, creating a delicious mocha cafe, with hints of wood and floral twinkling. The smooth base with its amber, sandalwood, and glimpses of patchouli, usurps the melange, softening it, and evolves into its enticing drydown. It's a well-constructed gourmand. This delightful fragrance's longevity is good; and its projection is average for the first 3 hours, then sticks to the skin.
Thanks to both of you for the posts & support!
Lavender, bergamot, vanilla...ahh, I could suck them through a straw!
Lavender has always been a comfort scent for me but seems to be a masculine note in fragrance, no?
That's what they say, but I think that it is a guy is more comortable with a floral than doesn't smell like a floral, if that makes sense.
However, I do like florals.

And, am not quite concerned what others may think.
What I'd find even more wearable by a woman would be Rochas Man Intense. But then I keep on reading how hard it seems to be for Americans to get in possession of a bottle (no such problem in Germany at this time).
Not bad for female wear - the floral-gourmand accord does actually fit quite well into the concept.
Definitely unisex, IMO. I think it would smell great on a woman...

To the OP: If you want to wear it and like it, by all means wear it.
This may go down in record as one of my most emphatic YES's ever. Wear it, and wear it with pride!

I think it would smell luscious on a woman and can't imagine they have not yet "discovered" it. And, it's pretty affordable as well.
You are being paranoid.................kidding.
At my local TJ Maxx, Rochas man is always in the woman's section because it is in a hot pink box. LOL
Wear what you like, dear lady. I have this and many other male marketed scents in my collection and no one bats an eye.

Many thanks to everyone for your feedback. Decision made! Looks like this will be the next add to my growing collection. I could still smell it on my wrist when I woke up this morning. Just beautiful.
Joining the unanimous chorus of "yes" votes here for it being unisex. This one smells great on either sex.
My wife uses mine all the time. We both enjoy it.
Easy for a women to wear and very unisex.
