    Default Ylang Ylang and Nutmeg

Several years ago I received a "scent-warmer" with a small vial of Nutmeg and Ylang Ylang scented oil. It was very strong, and smelled wonderful. Anyone know of a commercial fragrance that has these notes in?

Alamo by Gilles Cantuel I believe has both notes present.

Santa Maria Novella makes a fragrance built around nutmeg oil and Mace, which comes from nutmeg. The scent is Santa Maria Novella Marasciella. Wonderful stuff. It has a healing spice aura to it. Very masculine. The best Ylang is normally found from any good essential oil seller. I use Ylang oil in a burner for its anti anxiety qualities. Use sparingly. Ylang Ylang is a big part and also somewhat hidden in the MFK masterpiece Absolute pour le Soir.

You'll definitely notice this combo of notes in Cacharel pour L'Homme. The Basenotes pyramid doesn't mention the ylang ylang, but believe me, it's there, and other websites list that note. And while Cacharel didn't work for me, it is good quality stuff.

Sarensi's review on this page mentions the ylang.

Thanks all... I will have to try some of the suggestions. I went out and bought nutmeg essential oil, and Ylang Ylang, mixed them and got an overpowering mess. They are both very strong, and needed to be diluted down... still didn't get the wonderful smell I remembered from the oil warmer.
