Question Vanille di Orio vs. Felanilla

as far as i read, these are two of the more artistic takes on (or not so on) vanilla. can anybody compare and prefer one?

If you like vetiver you might like di Orio's Vanille. The base has a light but bright vetiver note which I find to be prominent (especially as it gets supported by petitgrain).

Felanilla is more animal-like but on the mellow side. Like cat fur, not puma cage. The combination of iris and vanilla is more irritating than pleasurable to me. And I remember it's dry-down took ages.

I personally find them both not easy to wear. But I can imagine them evolving beautifully on a man's skin.

Have not tried the PG fragrance, but Mona Di Orio Vanille is probably my favorite vanilla. I would also say L'artisan's Havana Vanille is a pretty unique take on vanilla.

Have tried both and both are very good IMO.

L'artisans smells great, but it is not interesting enough for me. are there more nuances in di orio's?

I'd say the Mona is more complex, but it's also a lot easier to like. The L'artisan is very strange and unique to me. I was quite confused when I first smelled it, was nothing like I expected.

The Mona is a very dry orange, clove, and vanilla scent with a boozy and slightly smokey aspect to it. Very strong too.

I find Mona di Orio's Vanille is more articulate. And there is more tension in it. While L'Artisan's is a bit fuzzy and the ingredients are heading the same direction.

If there was not this vetiver affair during the first two hours I'd love to wear this fragrance as it is really nice in the end.

is the vetiver as pronounced as in her 'vetyver'? actually vetiver is one of my favorite notes, but i never found a fully satisfying one yet. the good harsh ones are short lived, the subtle ones bother me with some notes... i got to like di orio's best. this is a differetn topic though.
interesting how does vetiver pair with vanilla here...

I don't know the Vétyver frangrance. And I am a bit sensitive regarding this note.

No, not as much Vetiver as in Mona Vetyver. Vanille is all about clove for me, and in that regard I can see similarities with Musc Ravageur, just without the musk.

I've only worn Mona di Orio Vanille. It's a great, warm scent. Although, it's not all about vanilla...there's a lot more going on there. If you're wanting pure vanilla, I'd look elsewhere.

Felanilla is nice because its not the sweet and synthetic vanilla. Its matured vanilla with an accompanying accord that is quirky but it works.
