    The absolute best I've encountered.
Aventus is decent too, albeit more cassis/pineapple than apple.
L'Anarchiste has a nice applesauce note.
Villoresi Incensi has a soft apple note as well.

Unfortunately, I've never come across Carlos Santana for Men so I can't comment, but Boss Bottled has extremely good longevity on me. My other favourite apple scent (if you can find it anywhere cheap on the net) is Nautilis Black Marlin - to me it has the same style as A*men but done with apple instead of chocolate. I paid $30 for a bottle, then found another in a chemist for $20.

I like Dunhill Custom - great apple, woods and a bit of incense. The Apple is the best and most prevalent note. I also like Nautica Voyage and Azzaro Chrome Legend. Both of those can be had at a great discount.

+1 on the Cereus #4. It's a great apple (green, not red) scent that is very under the radar. I saw one the other day on eBay for $60 and it didn't sell! Regular price is $125. A great buy for someone if you're looking for that particular scent.

I was waiting for you to chime in with this one, SoS. ;-) While I personally think the clove is too heavy myself, from an apple perspective (albeit in a supporting role, IMO) it is extremely well done and highly recommended.

Boss Bottled for sure! But to me, the apple note isn't too noticeable. I don't think I get any apple in CS, and I recall longevity to be quite bad. One of my favorite apple fragrances is Nicole Miller for Men, and it's very very cheap.

I like Brandy but I found it a bit too sweet for regular use.

I must admit, I think Christopher Brosius is very skillful at re-creating the smell of an apple in his fragrance Gathering Apples by CB I Hate Perfume and in that limited edition room fragrance he did for the Brooklyn Bunny project, Apple.

This is pretty much my view. Brandy is nice, but has a peachy apple undercurrent that is way too feminine for me.

Gathering Apples is very different: pure apple, but not sweet at all. It doesn't last very long, however.

You may want to try Tommy for Men. Definite apple notes in a relatively inexpensive (but not cheap quality) fragrance.

With a greener or woodier heart/early drydown, I'd definitely wear it myself. The whitish-green radiant musk in the final drydown of the base is actually also used sparingly in my favorite masculine floral, Windsor.

Cereus #4 actually is quite like D&G light blue, if DGLB were a niche masculine.

Never heard of Brandy, but it looks promising. I agree with Dullah and Kybird about Cereus No.4 having a really crisp natural green apple note, but you can only smell the apple for 15 minutes and after an hour there's nothing left but a weird papyrus note that is so weak you have to bury your nose in your skin to smell it.
