Default YSL M7 Oud Absolu - any difference from original M7?

I have and love the original M7 but could not resist buying the Oud Absolu version when I got the chance. I have only worn it once but in very hot conditions (summer holiday in Turkey) and I could not smell it at all. So before I try it again it would be great to hear your opinions - is it the same as the original or is there a twist of some kind?

I've had both, and I think Oud Absolu is just watered down a bit. It might be a little less syrup-y and have slightly brighter top notes, but that's the only difference I see.

Smelled YSL M7 Oud Absolu for the first time today. Nice, but I'm content with the original M7

I wore this today and this was my experience as well. I enjoyed it immensely...my wife complimented me on it after about 9 hours wear. I used 3 sprays. I've owned every incarnation of M7, and I think this superior to the first reformulation but just short of the original. It sure is a lot cheaper than the vintage, though.
