Default MAISON FRANCIS KURKDJIAN OUD -- appropriate for what occasion?

I really enjoy the "medicinal" quality of this frag, but I'm having a tough time figuring out what the appropriate occasions to wear would be, any thoughts?

(Just to head off the standard "I wear whatever I want whenever I want, I wear scents for me" responses, I guess I'm looking for opinions from folks who have thoughts on specific occasions)

    None.

    Just kidding.

I think it's alright for daily wear and isn't a "special occasion" frag at all.
The drydown is quite office friendly for a "medicinal oud" fragrance.

I'm more into the whatever whenever camp. However, if one must choose, oud in the West seems definitely like a big occasion thing. Ceremonies, formal events, serious dinners, romantic tete a tete, or whenever you want a special treat for yourself.

Like Cacio, a perfume rarely requires an occasion. Sure oranges and lemon feel refreshing in the warmth but oud just works all the time.

That said, I suggest intimate moments. A romantic dinner, stroll through a park and similar.

This is a very versatile fragrance; more so than I was expecting, given the price point. I'm not sure why, but when I buy niche, especially something containing oud or vanille, I expect to only be able to use it at the most formal occasions or for important meetings etc. This, however, is rarely the case. This is something that I would be happy to wear of an evening in a casual setting. However, it would be quite far down on the list for a formal occasion. As much as I like it, it lacks that luxurious feel that I crave for black tie events.

Certainly easily wearable just about anywhere, but I'm not a fan. Reminds me of a dentist's office and there's virtually no oud. Plus the longevity on this is terrible for me. For its price, I expected more.
    Splits!
