As expected, CreedBoutique.com has increased the price of their fragrances. Old price of a 4 oz was $285, new price is $315. Other bottle sizes have had their prices increase as well.
Looks like I'm going to have to stick with grey market retailers.
They all have (sizes and fragrances) its across the board, not just the US
Inflation. Cost of production = cost of consumption.
The good things in life are free! The best things cost an arm and a leg.
For all the price hikes you would think they could invest in better boxes for their fragrances than the rice paper type they have now. Really cheap imo.
For all of the money they charge, you might think that you could rely on their batces being consistent. You never really know what you are getting. However to Creed's credit I must truthfully admit, I never get so many compliements as I do on the days when I am wearing Aventus. Incredible.
Just another reason for me to skip buying any more Creeds...

Doesn't concern me, I would never pay retail for a Creed anyways.
Makes me wonder why the drop off for Creed's in grey market land are so drastic...I got all of my Creed 4oz for about 1/3 of that price. It's not worth a penny more than a 1/3 of that price anyways...I don't know who they think they are. I guess people pay for it thought.
When I think about then at their original retail price, they suddenly become just about the most expensive thing in my collection, and in that regard they definitely don't hold up...
This thread just ruined my day. $315? *sigh*
But I will never go gray market for their stuff. Getting it directly from the CreedBoutique is the only way to be sure it wasn't stored improperly.
No surprise to me with the hike in prices.
Maybe, it's a sort of "inelastic demand"-effect: throughout history, it was proven that most luxury items (with exceptions of course) enjoyed an ever increasing demand once the prices went up - may be the snobbery, the uniqueness, the exclusiveness factor.
Wow. I just bought Creed Original Vetiver (4 OZ) for $165 and felt a little guilty for paying so much. That was until I checked out the prices on the Creed website. GULP. Long-live ebay and grey market retailers!
This month I bought OV ($165), SMW ($121) and BDP ($146). From Creed I would have paid over $900!!!
I read something that really shocked me recently. The actual juice in the majority of fragrances ( I doubt Creed) can cost as little as pence and in effect we just pay for marketing and packaging. Makes you wonder about it all really.
