It's been talked about here pretty much recently and I have the opinion of most who've tried it ... great opening, not so great drydown.

Seconded. I was well aware that it would not smell like the original Eau Sauvage, and went into it expecting a warm, gourmandish fragrance with a little sweetness.

I did not expect it to be pure garbage. I cannot see what Dior were going for with this stuff, but unless they were playing a prank on everyone, they missed the mark.

It's not just that it smells linear and uninspired, it actively smells bad.

I really like this one as well, eau vetiver would have been a better name

I know this is blasphemy here on Basenotes, but I cannot think of a Dior fragrance I actually thought was bottle worthy.

I have it, I like it a lot. Opening reminds me of Eau Sauvage but it then goes off on a tangent towards warm woody-resinous. Perfect for the colder months. Excellent longevity. With just Eau Sauvage and Eau Sauvage Parfum you could have all your bases covered. YMMV.

I love it at all phases but anyone expecting just a longer-lasting Eau Sauvage will be disappointed. My fave new frag of 2012.

I'm dying to try this one.
    Unfortunately it'll not get
    a Danish release.

Please don't DIE!!!!!! You don't miss anything. The most beautiful thing about it is the BOTTLE.

Been wearing it on and off for a few months now. I will say that the longevity is fantastic with this scent. The scent is decent but after a while I feel that it lacks maturity and sophistication. As others have mentioned the opening is very well done and rich smelling. Once it settles down it reminds me of a typical Sephora type fragrance.

There is worse out there ! I would buy it again if I was without a bottle and only a Sephora store was available.

Has anyone noticed that the green color in the bottle fades to a yellowish green ? It seems like it was a lot greener when I first bought it. Unlike last time this bottle has NOT been in my refrigerator.

Thought it was refreshingly natural for a new designer. Too much vanilla for my taste, with excellent jasmine and vetiver. But it doesn't share much in composition with its namesake. I think that BNers would have much less strong negative reactions if they had no expectations, rather than expecting a higher-concentration version of Eau Sauvage, which this is definitely not.
