Default Hair loss/thinning and hair styling products

    Hello all,

After abit of advice on the issues mentioned above. I've been using products from Brylcreem, Shockwaves (and a few others) for a couple of years now.... and over time, I have noticed hair loss and thinning around the area where I apply the product. It didnt occur to me until someone suggested the products could be the possible cause. That and having to wash it out with shampoo on a daily basis.

So its got me thinking - Do the products I use contain harmful additives? Are there any hair products out there that are not very harsh or contain more gentle ingredients? I have a conservative hairstyle so dont need anything with extreme hold. Just need something to keep shape during the day and something that would wash out fairly easily.

If you guys have any recommendations, please fire away!

    Thanks!

Hairspray. If a men's one isn't available, test out the women's ones by spraying some into the cap. There are always one or two that don't have much scent in them.
    Regards,
    Renato

Also had the same problem - now quite thinning on the top. It may be just your genetics, rather than any product. That said, I'm a big believer in the Nancy Boy hair products. Also, I've recently gotten a natural-bristle brush, which is like magic. No product, and the hair stays where you put it.

I typically suggest wax. Be sure it is a good quality one (Gatsby is my favorite).
