Default Is By Kilian's Sweet Redemption, EDP, really as good as they say it is?

I have read and seen reviews indicating that Sweet Redemption is a masterpiece. The ingredients sound fantastic to me but is it really masculine? I have also been told that longevity and projection are beastly. Do you own it? Can you share your experience please?

    Very good. Yes.

    Master piece? Not even close.

A contender in it's genre though.

    ^^^ This.

Very nice. Is it really masculine? No, not masculine, very unisex IMO.

    Longevity is actually very good.

I don't even like it enough to buy a 5ml decant.

Received it as a sample with a purchase from Luckyscent. OK, but not great. Wound up passing it to my wife.

I've had my sample for awhile but haven't had the chance to test it out yet. I heard it smells like an orange creamsicle. True?

I got a full bottle of it a couple of months ago. It's another full bodied Calice Becker and requires one to be in the right mood for sweetness. I do like the mentholated/green aspect of it quite a bit.

Not even close to a masterpiece. It is not even good unless you love orange creamsicles, IMO.

Same here...Unaffordably sweet and extremely simple fragrance..

It's "simple"-simply beautiful. Do not "pre-hate it" based on others' opinions until you give it a proper sniff. Totally "unisex" if you mind such things.

I do love sweet fragrances, but even if one is not fond of them, IMO By Kilian (Mostly Ms. Becker) does sweet the right way; don't discredit this one based on its "overly sweet" reputation without trying it first.

I think you should sample this for sure. I kinda like the scent itself, it's very yummy, but definitely not something that I would wear. Any of the orange descriptions above are right on. When I sampled it, I also firmly placed it as a unisex scent, maybe even bordering on feminine, to me.

    Default Sweet Redemption..

Received a sample of this and completely blown away! I recall sampling this when i first received a sample pack of the entire kilian line, however was quick to dismiss this one and go to Back to Black and Cruel which caught my attention from the first snifff.

This stuff is gorgous, and rare that people comment on frags at work and i had 2 compliment me and ask me what i was wearing... Really considering grabbing a bottle of htis stuff, need to see how it peforms the rest of the day.

It is nice. And like almost all by Kilian fragrances, it lasts a long time. But I can't wear it that often, because it sure lives up to it's name -- it is VERY sweet. But it is sure great when I am in the mood for something like that...

I just bought a 50ml bottle. It is my new favorite. In fact, I need to change my top 5 list. Plus the bottle is so quality, and it comes in a lacquered box with a skeleton key. I'm a sucker for packaging, too. But the scent........WOW!

This is good to know, since these days i'm only interested in paying for frags that perform well, especailly for these type of price points.

Your top five has been the same for quite some time - this is surprising news! Is Derby getting bumped from the list?

I really need to try this (have tried all the Kilians except for this, Pure Oud, and the Asian Tales).

    Hey, my friend!

Yes, you HAVE to try this. A few of this line were on my wishlist, but this one won. And NO, Derby will never be bumped! However, I just bumped two! Take a look! I think I need to change to a top 10 because the two I bumped (Black Aoud and Noire Epices) I didn't really wanna bump. Hope you are well!

Insanely powdery. But less so than CdG's Daphne, which it is rather similar to in at least this respect.
