A scent like Antaeus would suit well. IMO Antaeus works well when not over sprayed and left to mix with your own chemistry.

Rochas Lui is also a good masculine with a 'don't mess with me vibe'. Yatagan is also a good all year round masculine. Good luck and check out anything else with a good castoreum mix.

it depends your idea of aggressive business practices. The most wise and wealthy business men that I have met in my life are very calmed, easy going and far from aggressive. I am also a business man and I can tell you that I rather have an out of the bat aggresive and pushy business man opponent in front of me than a calmed and low profiled one. I can handle the first better and most of the time win while the second breed are always puzzling and unpredictable.
Said that if you want to wear something that defines your business appetite before you even open your mouth wear something like Chanel Platinum Egoiste or Polo Original (green bottle), loud, pretentious and in your face.

I see what you mean da_markos. I think you could wear something like Allure as it covers pretty much all bases without being too intrusive. It smells modern yet balance and suitable to all venues, it smells expensive without being too opulent, it projects an aura of self confidence without becoming offensive. It also smells familiar to most noses, there is nothing weir about it as the fragrance pivots all over the place. Also women seems to love it with passion.

Original Narciso Rodriguez For Him. It has an enviornmental element to it that I think would go well at an engineering firm.

I can only think of powerhouse, possibly more or less leathery scents, of the rather classic type, along the lines of: Chanel pour Monsieur Concentree, Azzaro pour Homme, Givenchy Gentleman, Boss No. 1, Gucci Nobile, Versace l'Homme.

A modern, slightly younger reinterpretation of the powerhouse concept is, partly due to barbershop-style notes, is Rive Gauche pour Homme, popular with younger wearers but still serious and clean-cut enough to be a sober, mature, elegant work/office scent.

You need a scent to boost your confidence first, which should also be a little bit intimidating to your opponents - that said they must also want your friendship to progress - can only think of one.. Chanel Eau Sauvage - separates men from the boys..

To be someone to be reckoned with, get:

Narciso Rodriguez for Him by Narciso Rodriguez - Welcome to the Twilight Zone !! The paltry, note listing belies the complexity of this fragrance. Initially, one is bombarded with a lovely, sweet and woodsy violet, whose brilliance is amplified by aldehydes, an amazing, wet concrete, a graceful wave of petrichor, that special smell of earth, caressed by raindrops after a dry spell, a flint smell and an intense mustiness from the patchouli. This surreal melange is enshrouded by a wet, foresty lushness, with flittering specks of flavorful licorice. The welcoming heart kidnaps the explosive opening and fosters its taming. Lovely violet leaves, with their inherent freshness, inspire an exquisitely extreme, green aura akin to grass clippings with a shading of cucumber. Versatile patchouli imparts it nutty and earthy facets. Seductive amber, with its deep, somewhat woody and vanillic dimensions, and white musk, with its dirty sweetness add some powderiness to the blend. The robust base overtakes this humbling middle, where the multifaceted patchouli raises its faintly peppery and herbal heads as well as its mulch-like property. Dry cedar, pencil shavings as well as camphoraceous pine supply intriguing woods. And, evocative, animalic musk, where fecal pellets from critters as well as pubic sweat harmonize, contributes to the fantastical drydown. This extremely masculine and unique composition has very good projection, 4-5 hour scent cloud, and longevity, 7-12 hours - easy on the trigger is the catchphrase here. This atypical fragrance is not for the faint of heart.

I was gonna suggest Gucci PH 1 XD Try Dirty English, it shares the vibe with Gucci PH I but they're not the same. YSL Kouros - I know, mentioned too many times on the site in general. Azzaro Silver Black/Onyx - very fresh, sharp and woody - quite longlasting and with a good sillage. Azzaro Visit - excellent sillage and longevity. If you wanna talk about really aggressive, Christian Dior Fahrenheit!

Honest opinion, I wouldn't wear scent anymore, you'll give some eco-warrior client a headache and flush your career down the toilet

given that you choose to live dangerously, I suggest Arrogance by Arrogance, the original, its an 80's powerhouse, but doesn't fit into the stereotype. It's very BLACK, one of the darkest scents I know of, artemesia and castoreum, sparkling drydown. Could be difficult to get your hands on but worth it.

    Creed: Imperial Millesime, Neroli Sauvage
MDCI: Chypre Palatin, Ambre Topkapi (more masculine)
Frederic Malle: French Lover / Bois d'Orage
Tom Ford: Oud Wood, Tobacco Vanille

These combined with an aggressive attitude would work. Actually anything you like that is not too strong would work. I think what is key when it comes to work is not wearing something that is overpowering or has too much projection. Of course that could possibly be balanced with spraying less but I think you should aim to feel good and confident with what you're wearing first and let your attitude do the aggression.

That rules out all the recommendations for Bois du Portugal. It's a rich woody oriental. I like it but I wouldn't recommend it for what you're talking about. Gets a little soft and mushy when you heat up. Never have understood its rep for this kind of thing. My girlfriend used to mistake it for Shalimar.

I'd go for dry woods with slightly less volume, stuff like Yatagan and Sycomore. The matte black stealth of Rive Gauche pour Homme is great if you don't wear too much. Patou pour Homme and Jules are excellent. Van Cleef & Arpels pour Homme is good. As koala501 said, anything with a lot of castoreum is usually good. Three of the ones I mentioned have a lot it. Here's another one: www.profumo.it/perfume/prodotto.asp?pid=202

-- But actually the whole idea is a little ridiculous. If you're using a fragrance to prevent being "eaten" by your opponents then you've most likely already lost.
