    Default how to use cologne

    Hi.
It'd be interesting to get hints on how to actually use cologne.
    Where to put it?

I usually put it on the neck, under the ears, and/or in the area
opposite to the elbow. (don't know its name in english but in french
    we'd say "creux de l'avant-bras")

    Thanks in advance.

Normally, I'll apply it right after toweling off from the morning
shower with the pores open. Two to three sprays right over the heart
and maybe a shot on the inside elbow or on the neck. The chest I've
found is key as the fragrance is basically trapped in your shirt and
is slowly released (works for me anyway). The first time is always
    an
experiment with a new one. If I get negative remarks or otherwise
knock people over, I tone it down. In the evening I put on something
different, In the same areas, for variety.

I don't think there is a name for "creux de l'avant-bras" unless you count
    "crease in the arm?"

Heres what we say in the basenotes FAQ..

===Q. Where should I put fragrance on the body?

Eau de Toilette should put on the 'pulse points'. These are the area's where
the veins are near the skins surface and you can feel a pulse (ie. Neck,
Wrist, Chest. etc.. ). As fragrances react with heat, everytime the blood
rushes pass you send out another waft!

Coco Chanel once said, put your
perfume where you expect to be kissed, so I'll leave that one up to you!

When spraying the fragrance, make sure you spray from a reasonable distance.
If it forms a 'puddle' on your skin, it's too close. Let the fragrance dry
naturally as rubbing it with your hand can distort the fragrance.

Don't apply too much! If you can still smell it on yourself fairly strongly
about ten minutes later, go a bit easier on it next time. Wearing too much
cologne is a big social no-no!

I don't agre with you, there 's no need to put eau de toilette on
    the
pulse point. This is true for a parfum but not eau de toilette.
But in the man's fragrance parfum are not sold.
Parfum are more concentrated in fragrance you can put a small drop on
    the pulse point.
eau de toilette is less concentrated but contains more head's note.
i like to spray eau the toilette on my head or chest, or clothes for
my favourite's fragrance or fragrance that doesn't hold on my skin (
on the winter i spray on my scarves , each scarf for each parfum )
