In all the excitement about buying Une Voix Noire, I failed to mention that I bought a bottle of Bandit as well.

Won two e-bay auctions and eagerly waiting the delivery of Miller Harris Fleur Oriental and Coeur de Fleur. The latter was a blind buy, I'm curious if I'll like it.

Vintage Caron Nuit de Noel. Very happy to have found it. Caron has recently become my absolute favorite perfume house.

    And this oddity:

Picabia Shady Lady ... involved with the Italian artist and Duchamp's best friend Francis Picabia and his wife Gabrielle Picabia, a friend of and great inspiration to Schiaparelli. I'll be trying to learn more about the perfume connection when I've the time. The scent itself is surprisingly gorgeous and not at all off or aged smelling.

A light month so far for me, just Bottega Veneta EDP 100 ml.

But not staying light for long -- off to Italy next week, and Alfarom has steered me to some must smell shopping.

Bottega, nice choice. Do report back to us about your trip to Italy and what you sniffed. Have a good time!

Instead of going straight home from work, I went to nordstrom. Walked in to have a look-sniff and walked out with Cafe Rose. I guess I won't eat til thanksgiving.

But the SA did give me a bag full of samples, both Tom ford and others. That's something, right?

Got Mandarine Basilic and a coffet of 4 minis La Creations of Monseiur Dior. Thought I'd try the contemporary versions of some of my big loves. Diorella still has a lovely citrus opening but someone has heaped sugar in it and the heart and dry down have lost all bitterness and pungency, which made it for me. IFRA have a lot to answer for. Still it's streets ahead of most modern releases

I don't usually post my buys here, but, this was just too good not to share!

The Goddess of Luck has blessed me once again, and this time beyond reason.
I've just went to one of my fave flea markets. And look and behold. Amoung a
lot of other plain mini perfumes, I found this 1950's Diorissimo Amphora Urn in
Baccarat crystle. I asked the nice lady what she wanted for such a small bottle,
showing it to her with the 'Christian Dior' turned backwards, so that she couldn't
see it. I know, but, hey, anything goes, right. She looked at it, and said: 'Well,
you can give me 5 kroner!' 5 Danish kroner is just shy of 1 dollar. ONE DOLLAR!!!
As you probably know already; these baccarat bottles are the holy grails for any
Dior collector, and as such extremely expensive, so needless to say, that I am
    beyond thrilled.
A tiny bit of the crystle has chopped off at the base/foot of the flacon, but,
    I don't care. I'm in heaven!
I will fill it up with some vintage Diorissimo parfum which I have already.
    I'm sooo bloody happy! Yay

    Thank you, Wolfie.

I've cleaned it up and filled it with vintage parfum.
It looks glorious. A new centerpiece in my collection.

    Very pretty Duc - congratulations!
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan
