Default Lancme Hypnse Homme - My little review.

I bought this fragrance two days ago and am genuinely impressed. I'll say what I think about this fragrance!

    The price:

In the UK, you can pick up a 50ml bottle for around 39. I picked mine up on offer for about 24?

    Longevity + Projection

This stuff is a projection monster - I'd probably measure it to JPG Le Male in terms of projection.
On my skin, it usually lasts around 9 hours, which is perfect for a school day, a day at work, or just lounging around in your house. Would definitely recommend to Freshman/Business men.

    Age Group:

I'd say from the age of 15 up; it's a more masculine and powerful scent, one that is elegant too.

    The smell:

It opens up with woods and spices with a nice touch of lavender essence, it then drys itself down to a nice cardamom/citrus/spice, at the end of the fragrance I'm left with patchouli and musk. An absolutely gorgeous drydown, to die for! Definitely a must try.

    Conclusion:

I'd recommend this to everyone! It's amazing and I will definitely be looking for another bottle for the future. I can't get enough of this stuff. I've not come cross anyone who hasn't enjoyed it yet, I think that says a lot - I think it's definitely worth a blindbuy if you can't get hold of it, either that or get a decent! Thanks guys!

    9/10

Hope you all enjoyed my first review, I tried

I also like it. Lancme is so neglected and
    underrated within this community!

You should check out Miracle Homme, too.
HH is good, but, to me, MH is a tad better.

I hear its a bit of a lavender bomb?? Can you confirm? I saw it at a dooty free in alaska and they wanted 89 bux for the small bottle so I passed. But If its anything like Labender Palm by Tom Ford in terms of the amount of lavender I would not be impressed at all.
Im not going to lie to you; that smells like pure gasoline.

Not a lavender bomb, but you can vaguely smell it!

Very underrated fragrance. Does anyone else get a Reflection Man feel from this?

It has awful sillage on my skin.

It is a subtle version of a Rochas Man type frag. It will be too weak for some but I doubt many would find it too strong (assuming one spray to the chest).

I use around 4 sprays of it.
2 on either side of neck, one on back + front.

    I completely agree with this.

Lancome Hypnose Homme is a scent that should get a bit more attention, not just here.

Used to love wearing it, but discovered the "fishy" note that others have mentioned. It's a solid fragrance though.
    My current favorites:

Bleu De Chanel, Creed Green Irish Tweed, Zino Davidoff, Dior Homme Intense, Creed Royal Oud, M7 (all versions), Chanel Egoiste, Dior Homme Sport, and Thierry Mugler Pure Malt.

I remembered it being average in terms of longevity and sillage, but yesterday i wore it at home and could easily smell it this morning and i felt it quite potent. It's a kind of smell i can get easily tired of, but nice to wear from time to time.
... And do me a favor - don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired.

I never thought once about it being in the Rochas Zone and still after you brought it to my attention i still dont think that....I like HH a lot and didnt care for Rochas and think its a bit overrated IMO
I have had some Niche lovers like this scent as well....Good stuff.

It's more of a Versace Dreamer type of fragrance minus tobacco note.

Yeah, I'm surprised anyone would say this has poor sillage. Your noses could be fatigued as this is a very heavy fragrance, such that I feel like I ended up tiring of it within a few months because it was just too potent. I probably should have worn it more sparingly. I'll have to revisit it. But overall my experience was similar to yours.
    Fall/Winter Rotation:

    Lancme Hypnse
    Lanvin Avant Garde
    Zegna Intenso
    Dior Homme Intense
    Thierry Mugler Taste of Fragrance
    Prada Amber Intense Pour Homme

If smelling good was a crime, I'd be serving a lifetime sentence....

I found very weak sillage too. I guess will need to give it a full wear tomorrow to see how it performs. It would be a cold day tomorrow so will do a nice job if lasts long.

    4 sprays.

    I bought blind 2 * 50ml bottles and haven't used any. lol

I like it a lot, and it's a good all year rounder. I used it in summer and it works really well.
Plus, the bottle is a knock-off!

Hmm. I use to love this one in the spring & summer, but for some reason, I don't like it that much on my skin anymore. I have about 1/3 of a 50 ml bottle left, and am actually about to try to get rid of it, along with a few other frags I don't wear. Trying to swap them for some things I do like.
