Synching with vintage Avon Cotillion, since a cotillion is a ball. I picked it because I'm subbing in an elementary school and thought smelling a little bit like a Creamsicle® would work well.

Today I'm wearing Vétiver Extraordinaire, »published« by Frédéric Malle a decade ago and created by Domninique Ropion who also invented the fragrance we talk about in a different thread – Ysatis from the house of Givenchy. I wasn't aware of this until seconds ago, however. Strange, how things coincide from time to time.

Good morning. Well, we have survived another night, which is good.

Whoever was thinking about the scent with a musical theme for today's sync must have fallen off the tree -- not embarking at the wrong tree in my case -- what do I wear? Peter and the Wolf?

Cool today, +12C. Weird how we went from humid +35C on Monday to this, must have been JR's prayers. LOL I will take it any day though.

Testing Chanel Coco Noir on the wrist, while sprayed myself liberally with L'Artisan Parfumeur Piment Brulant. Thanks to a wonderful BN friend.

Neil Morris - Hologram will be my next FB. I get giddy when I smell this stuff. Seriously smells of my youth. I can almost hear my parents talking about music like Pink Floyd or Jefferson Airplane or Fleetwood. It smells of headshops in the late 70's early 80's. If you can't tell, I am a lovechild born of true hippies. Thanks to TWolf for introducing us. Happy Friday.

    Hi, everyone -

I'm swooping in to do the Synch Friday - scents with music associations - before heading back "out" to hit the books some more. Miss you all, and hope everyone is doing wonderfully!

Backstory for today's fragrance choice: My oldest kid (who left for college in Chicago a couple of weeks ago - I AM NOT OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE A COLLEGE-AGE CHILD!!!) asked me awhile ago what my "theme song" was... The tune that just shows up all the time in your head as you're going about your life. First off, I realized I did have a theme song, but hadn't been actively aware of it. Secondly, I thought it was extremely cool that my kid not only was aware of the theme song phenomenon, but brought it to my attention and asked me about it. Anyhow I had to admit that my theme song is (somewhat embarrassingly) "Tea for Two" from the musical No-No Nanette. It runs through my head all the time whenever there is 'space.' I don't even like the song all that much, but there you have it, my theme song anyway.

So my SOTD is Tea for Two by L'Artisan, which just happens to be one of my very favorite frags, and which the powers that be have decided to discontinue.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

My sale thread has some of my underappreciated fragrances looking for a good, new home...

Enjoy your tennis, cello! As I recall, that Cristalle just might have been lucky for me the last time I played, so let's hope it does the same for you...if you find yourself needing it, of course.
