Thanks for the answers. actually i was going to order it from AuzLiebeZumDuft , they also have it. I remeber reading somwhere that it was plummy, and i love plummy. But from your review Trebor it seems it's more rosey and a rehash of others at that... hmmm

    LoL seriously?

p.s. the short to the point reviews are smartphone friendly and a refreshing alternative to Octavian/1000fragrances' 1000 page fragrance reviews...

It smelled of fruits and musk.
Synthetic but not in the revered CdG way.

Trebor gave Aoud Safaran 2 stars lol, I love that fragrance. Dark Purple is great as far as I am concerned, I did not find it rosy at all. It is very "purple" in smell, it reminds me of plums, dark berries and a dark musk. Though it is marketed for woman, it can easily be worn by men, the scent is quite unisex. I got the travel size bottle, I recommend it!

This sounds intriguing. I'm going to have to get a sample of this one. They have quite a nice house

Received a sample and im testing.
    Very synthetic frutal oud combo.
Good longevity and sillage, as you can expect. Its a little redundant, as all of them.
I think you only need to have Black and Red Aoud, and a musk (musk to musk or black musk) and you're done of montales.
Theyre very redundant, and, to others, smell almost the same everytime.
Ps: words from a fan of montale.

Anyone else see the similarity between Dark Purple by Montale, and NY Amber by Bond no. 9? I am not saying they are the same, just very similar... Kinda similar to Riverside drive. and Bleeker st. also...that fruitiness.
