Red face Habit Rouge vs Green Irish Tweed

Hey, I'm looking for a male fragrance, but I'm a total noob.

I usually live in stench, but now I work as a model and I need some cleanliness.
I'm a male. The only fragrance I really remember liking is Hugo Boss Deep Red which is for females.
I want something that has a real elegant smell.

So Habit Rouge vs Green Irish Tweed, from the little research I've done. You got any other suggestions please help!!!

I live in LA, so if you know any good places to shop please let me know.

    TIA

I can spend up to $500.

It's truly hard to go wrong with GIT. I'd suggest finding a high-end department store near you & test away. As you narrow down ones you like, though, I highly suggest full skin testing before making a high-end purchase. Best of luck!

Neither is among my favorites but my vote goes to Habit Rouge. No doubts.

Fragrance has no gender, if you like Deep Red then go for it. In my opinion any fragrance worn by a male will smell masculine. Trying to compare Habit Rouge with GIT is impossible (apples with oranges) both are good, both would work. I personally prefer Habit Rouge, and elegant is one word I would use to describe it.

Personally though if I had up to $500 to spend I would not go with either. Since you have Scent Bar locally, there is no reason to make up your mind going in, those guys have one of the best selections of high-end scents you will find. I suggest going there with an open mind and tell them what kinds of smells you like and they can make some very good recommendations. I also recommend checking out your local Barneys so you can also sample the Frederic Malle line before making a final decision (as I believe Scent Bar does not carry it). Malle has some superb options in your price range as well.

Both are good, I'd choose Habit Rouge as a powerhouse, a scent making a strong impression, while GIT as a versatile everyday allrounder.

Habit Rouge "L'Eau", timeless classic redefined! a bit light but works well in warmer months.

Green Irish Tweed smells more modern where Habit Rouge smells dated imo.

Of the two that you had researched, I would choose Green Irish Tweed by Creed.

    But, do try:

Cuir Pleine Fleur by Heeley - One is initially treated to an enchanting, herbaceous melange. Violet leaf with its marked greenness, akin to grass clippings, couples with the bittersweetness of bergamot as well as the sweetly floral and faintly woody aroma of mimosa. An illusion of a hay-stacked pasture is consummated. Transitioning to the heart, a nascent, leathery castoreum blooms, while lovely black locust adds its indolic, orange blossom flavor and hawthorne imparts its slightly honey and almond aspect to the exquisite, opening blend. Immersed in the augmented mixture, the resplendent leather takes on a refined, suede-like aura. An undercurrent of aubepine, with its slightly rose-like odor and anise-like facet, as well as the wintergreen of birch carries the luxurious, leather concoction to the waiting base. The sumptuous leather is lifted by the woody birch, which comes into its own, with its somewhat medicinal and spearmint facets marrying with the earthy grassiness of vetiver as well as the pencil shavings of Virginia cedar. An elegant drydown ensues. A majestic scent for all seasons, this polished, masculine composition has average projection and good longevity, 8-10 hours.

Go try Chez Bond by Bond No 9. Very nice scent. It's like the upscale version of Cool Water.

No thought required, a giant.......Habit Rouge.

Green Irish Tweed is a nice smell, but like most Creeds it has little to no character.

Green Irish Tweed. Fresh, clean, masculine, more modern scent. I find HR too powdery although it is a nice scent.

GIT. It's versatile and it's a crowd pleaser. But if you got five nice to spend, maybe consider MDCI Invasion Barbare. Scent Bar/Luckyscent.com (in LA) has it.

I definitely suggest you check things out on your own, but as for your suggestions, I definitely feel GIT is the best choice for your situation. It is classy, versatile, and has decent longevity and silage (it won't choke out your fellow workers). It's an awesome scent and one of my favorites.
