Thread: Best "Blue" fragrance for Men!
i really think that the "Blue" genre is a little under-appreciated here on BN. so i decided to make this little thread for it, i always liked "blue" frags even so they most likely smell generic. I'll make a poll on this one including the ones that have the name "Blue" in them , but the thread here isn't about the name it is about the genre in general. I'll be happy to hear your opinion.

Where is Bleu de Chanel?
I voted others. Bleu de Chanel and Blue Amber.
How could Bleu de Chanel not be listed in a poll of "Blue" fragrances??? Astonishing.
I voted "other."
Armand Basi in Blue is my favorite blue, bar none.
Snarky is as snarky does.
polo blue is the only fragrance in your list that i would EVER wear.
Blue Amber, Individuel.
Other: Hugh Parsons Blue
Even if Chanel Bleu had been on the list, I'd have still voted for Bulgaril Blu, one of my all time loves. Clean, gingery scent that's a great "default" cologne for almost any occasion.
Current Top Five:
1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
5. Creed Original Vetiver
Not my preferred genre of fragrances, however my vote goes to Bleu de Chanel.
None of the above.
Agree with Ken_Russell - Hugh Parsons Blue.
it could be versace pour homme if it had better longevity. bleu de chanel is my choice as an overall frag.
Seasonal favorites :
Winter : The Dreamer & Burberry London
Spring-Autumn : Bvlgari Pour Homme & Prada Man
Summer : Bvlgari Aqva & Aqua Fahrenheit
All-Rounders : Terre D'Hermes & Bleu de Chanel
Has anyone actually smelt CK Free Blue?
I've never seen it in a UK store. Could it be worse than the original Free?

Polo blue is the best.

ointments and perfume delight the heart....
Simplex Sigillum Veri
Ferre's Acqua Azzurra is also excellent.
wow, I never knew I hated every fragrance with blue in the name....
Other: Cartier Declaration Bois Bleu
Terrible list. Missing most of the best ones.
Since it's in my signature, I'd better give a vote to Hugh Parsons Traditional or Blue.
Looking at your poll, and not overthinking it, I'll go with Into the Blue. I picked up a tester, with cap, in a plain white box at my local perfume store for dirt cheap and didn't wear or test it for a while because I assumed it'd be nothing special, but now I've worn it I'm starting to appreciate it. Very fresh, cooling and a little sweet but without that obnoxious 'sea,' smell which always strikes my nose as being like a heavily chlorinated pool.
Nautical is bsolutely pitiful. Longevity is 10 mins and the scent sucks
The OP said blue "genre" which I took to mean aquatics, which are typically sold in blue bottles, have blue juice (as with Azzaro chrome), or have the word "blue" in the title but not always. Just having the word "blue" in the title, alone, is absolutely meaningless. For example, there is Pierre Cardin Bleu Marine, which is an old-fashioned spicey oriental that has nothing to do with the modern blue genre.
...type 'Blu' in Basenotes' fragrance directory and you get 294 matching fragrances...!
I have not got any of them in my current wardrobe, but who has the most...?
Where is Blue Stratos?
Out of these I vote for Downy in the original blue bottle or Fabreze. :-)
Most Bleu fragrances I run into smell like detergent or dryer sheets but I admit I have not sampled the higher end stuff except Chanel, and I disliked that one too.
My favorite is Bleu de Chanel. I was pleasantly surprised to see Blue Seduction on the list. Wonderful fragrance.
