Oh my goodness. You've never eaten a jelly baby.....that's just got to be put right. What about liquorice allsorts, flying saucers, black jacks, fruit salads, rhubarb & custards, liquorice comfits, aniseed balls, parma violets..... ?

An international sweetie exchange is on the cards with this sample.....

It is true that fish stink. It is also true that the river is

That is not to say that sh*t is not useful when buried in the wheat

sweetest. All things serve a purpose, but that is no reason to

I never tried Bubbly. Love the colors in the package design. Little kids would be drawn to that like it was crack!

It's been a while since I tasted Bazooka though if memory serves, it's more of a minty bubblegum. Is Extra gum available there? It's a sugar free stick gum and there is a "Classic Bubblegum" flavor that's really wonderful. If you can get some of that I would revisit bubblegum flavor and if you hate it, I'm sure your daughter would enjoy it.

I was clearing up my 'lab' yesterday and this project had been put to one side to mellow. I hadn't thought at the time that it was finished, but I smelled the first mod out of curiosity and it's mellowed to somewhere pretty spot on to my memory. PM me me an addy and I'll send it over for judgement... With the jelly babies of course.

received mumsy's perfume yesterday and I'm blown away at the quality of the fragrance and the talent it took to create! I would think the biggest challenge would be melding all the notes together but I don't really know. I do know that it's easier said than done. Like writing a good song or painting a simple landscape, creating bubblegum and have it read as a perfume is no simple task.

I received it last night and immediately spritzed my wrist when I opened the package of goodies! At first I could make out a few notes but I knew it would have to dry down and mellow out on my skin. So about 5-10 minutes goes by and occasionally I'd put my nose right up to my wrist and it had a hint of bubble gum but I was getting lots of vanilla and cinnamon which was kind of reading a 'chai tea' to me. Well, like I say, 10 minutes goes by and I'm typing and I'm getting wafts of straight up, down home, sweet, simple BUBBLEGUM! Viola! Brava! It was a bit iffy during the drydown but once you get there it's pillowy-pink bubble heaven.

I spritzed some on today and several people got to sample it. They all got that it was bubblegum. It's a very clean and comforting fragrance. I could see mixing this into some hipster beard oils. About an hour ago I sprayed some into the bottom of my beard and I'm liking this best, like a pomander for dispersing the fragrance. I get wafts rising up with my body heat. Heavenly Hubba Bubba.

Longevity is a few hours. I like that it's fleeting and fugitive and burns off pleasantly, leaving behind a sweet vanilla base.

If you read reviews of professionally done perfumes featuring bubblegum notes, they tend to be mixed and you quickly get the idea that it's not so easy to make a wearable fragrance based on bubblegum. I think the highest rated is made by heeley and theirs is a floral that's a 'take on' bubblegum so it's not a literal 'translation' so to speak. I'd still love to smell it sometime. Anyhow, I understand the expertise that goes into creating something like this and I think it's amazing that there are gifted and gracious members here who are generous with their time and talents. ...and I feel blessed to have received this gift of hand crafted perfume from such a sweet, smart and gifted Basenotes member. Thanks Mumsy!

Well after spraying that into my beard last night I can confirm that longevity is extended by not wearing it on my skin. I would wake up to use to restroom last night and get wafts of bubblegum and now that I'm up it's still there. So that's more than 12 hours in my beard!

I love this stuff, Mums! <3

lt's my first time posting in the notepad forum, (hi everyone!) but l was honoured to receive a sample from mumsy of her amazing Eau de Bubblegum, & thought l'd post my thoughts here.

All l can say is wow! This really does smell exactly as l remember the old-style pink bubblegum of my childhood, such as Bazooka Joe or Bubbleicious. As it dries down, there's a touch of Juicy Fruit thrown in, too, with mint, cinnamon, vanilla & perhaps some anise. The projection is very good, & it all lasts well over seven hours.

This was such fun to try, & l'm blown away by the talent involved in creating something like this. Well done mumsy, & thanks again!

Just fiddling around working on a bubblegum fragrance for a client, so I thought I'd post a starting point of a decent bubble gum aroma.

    34.75% Wintergreen oil
    22% Clove Bud oil
    17.5% Cinnamon Bark oil
    11.25% Amyl acetate
    6.25% Ethyl butyrate
    6.25% Isobutyl butyrate
    2% Vanillin

    Hey All,
It's interesting to me to see this bubblegum conversation. I've gleaned a list of AC's that I'm going to order now to build on my "fruity" ingredients. I've always liked Lush's Rockstar soap. But also I detect a little more "grown up" bubblegum note in Viktor Rolf's Spicebomb. I have read many people's dislike for that but I have grown to love it.

Thanks (as always) for the heaps and heaps of info!
