    Default The manliest of them all?

    I'm curious...what would you consider to be the "manliest" scent out there. I'm talking about the one that just screams MAN!! The kind that has massive polar love/hate reactions. The kind that roundhouse kicks all other male frags in the face. The kind that (not to sound too crude) challenges all other frags to "whip 'em out and let's measure." It can be a scent you own or even one that you hate. I'm not necessarily looking to buy one...I'm just curious what you all think.

    Have not worn it in a while but I remember Sung Homme as smelling of ashtray and soap. Suiting a private dick, drowning his sorrow in a dive bar, haggling with an ageing hooker.

    Fumidus by Profumum - One is initally treated to a dram of aromatic scotch whisky, with its tempered harshness harnessed by the indolic sweetness of peat. A nascent, barnyardy aroma of cigar tobacco peeks through as well as a hint of abrading iodine. Medicinal birch bark elbows itself into the mix with its medicinal, wintergreen character and its hint of effervescent birch beer. The sweet, minty intrusion nicely counterbalances the sharpness of the scotch accord. Magical vetiver joins the fray with its rich earthiness and deep muskiness. A strong smokiness envelops the comforting blend. The robust vetiver likewise imparts its syrup, hay and tabacco offerings. A faint armpit body odor and dank woodiness also present. A titillating drydown ensues. This manly composition has excellent projection and longevity - easy on the trigger is the catchphrase here.

    I don't understand how people think Kouros is manly. Extremely sweet opening, florals, incense and honey . . . unisex to my nose. The aromatics barely save it from leaning feminine.

    It's odd to me that all of you seem to find Rien so masculine. I'm not sure WHAT to think of Rien. I wore it out once and caused a commotion EVERYWHERE I went--Women, men, EVERYONE was all over me: It was BIZARRE. Not ONE PERSON that came near me wasn't trying to get a piece of it. *I've never worn it again* --I just can't take that much attention. I swear I felt like people were going to try to eat me, and yes, it does smell good but can I tell you: I wore it to a *VERY* rough bar. *VERY* rough. The kind of bar where, if there is a serial killer in town, he's in there. I Met Andrew Cunanan (The kid who killed Versace) in the same bar. This place is full of "Marginal" types--Men, Women, Freedom walkers all. I sprayed ONE SPRAY and WALKED INTO IT--so in essence I was wearing molecules of it on my person, mostly on my scarf--and it was the strangest experience I have ever had. The whole time it felt almost too....SPECTACULAR. I was *slightly* embarrassed, only because NOBODY would stop talking about it. Quite frankly--I would admit--while Rien is a singular scent that is....a magnet....I can't possibly say it's all that masculine: I even find it slightly feminine. There's really no contest here. It's either Yatagan or Aramis. Ted Lapidus pour homme......not next to those two. While Yatagan might be the roughest, Aramis has the biggest dick. No contest boys.

    Aramis = Biggest Dick

    How could I forget Jules?

    When you really stop and analyze all the classics masculine powerhouses, there is always some vague hint of unisex in there lurking behind the clouds. Therefore I think technically it would have to be something like the original Aramis.

    I see why everyone's saying Aramis and Kourus. They are sure some very manly, strong (and slightly overwhelming) scents, we also have Chrome Azzaro...
    but Quorum by Antonio Puig is even manlier and is a great and classy scent. In my and many others' opinion. It is and always has been my #1 favourite perfume since I was in 3rd grade (lol - no, it's totally not for children! I was always just too mature, haha) - seriously, Quorum is an excellent perfume. It's classic and very formal in such an elegant and captivating way... ugh. I'm not being passionate here, it truly is that great of a perfume and if anybody doesn't find it the way I and most people do, then, there's a 99.8% chance that he is a silly pimp and hasn't got what it takes to wear perfumes like that one and should only stick to *gay* floral, 'sickeningly' citrus perfumes.
