People claim Gucci by Gucci is similar. I own both and don't really see the connection.
Montblanc's most recent fragrance has a near identical pyramid, but are not so similar either. My answer: get Aventus. At least a decant, you can afford it.
Thread: Creed Aventus replacement. |
Hey guys, I'm sure most of us by now have heard of Creed Aventus and the constant praising of it all over the net. But there are many people like me, who cannot afford to pay the standard Creed prices.
So I was wondering, are there any fragrances that smell similar to Aventus ? or anything that is similar to Aventus ?
Thanks.

Nothing's like Aventus. Get Aventus.
Perhaps Ananas Fizz by L'Artisan Parfumeur
I think splits will be a good way to go. Best part about it is that you dont have to worry about batch variations since the splitters here are all top notch!
Current Top 5:
1. Frederic Malle L'eau d'Hiver
2. Tom Ford Noir de Noir
3. Dior Homme / Dior Homme Intense
4. Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Havane / Pure Malt
5. Creed Aventus / Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Nothing I've smelled is like Aventus, so I would just get a split on here from someone.
My advice would be to buy a small decant and do your own comparisons. You might find something which, even if it doesn't smell the same, satisfies you in that it possesses a simmilar vibe. And if you don't you can always come back and grab a split when your decant runs out.

I think Jacomo de Jacomo's Deep Blue shares some similarities with Aventus in the basenotes and drydown. They both share a musk/leather/woody vibe in the base. However, the top of Deep Blue is based on violet leaf instead of pineapple. They aren't exactly the same, but if you are a fan of Aventus's birchy/ashy/leathery/rose drydown, then give Deep Blue a shot. To me, it had immediate similarities. (Deep blue kind of smells like Green Irish Tweed or Green Valley on top and Aventus in the base).
Yardley's Citrus and Woods has an opening similar to Aventus and a dry down similar to Terre d'Hermes.
