Thread: Work and winter fragrances!
Got a new job recently and need a new scent that's awesome but yet work friendly. O an I was looking for a winter fragrance also! Recommendations please!
Already have it! Great scent tho. But keep them coming.
Need more info. So far all we know is you want something that is a) work friendly, and b) awesome. What fragrances do you like, notes etc?
It has to be something acceptable at the workplace. Something that's not offensive. Under $75. I have adg and leau dllsey already but I feel so bored with these right now. And with the winter fragrances I don't really have a preference just something to start my interests. I've been meaning to try Rochas man, lidge/lidg, and new Harlem (something about gourmands has my interests) but am open to pretty much anything. I don't really know my preferences yet
+1 Kiton Men
Brooks Brothers NY Gentlemen
M 7 is a good option your price range...
My current top ten:
1. Spice and Wood
2. Aplle Brandy
3. Tonka Imperiale
4. Pure Malt
5. Bois d'Argent
6. Noir de Noir
7. 5 o'clock au Gingembre
8. Dior Homme Intense
9. Epic Man
Try Eau des Baux by L'Occitane. It is a quality fragrance with an affordable price tag. Sweet, but not cloying. The scent is very pleasant to the nose.
1. Dior Homme Original
2. Musc Ravaguer
3. Portrait of a Lady
4. Noir de Noir
5. L Instant Guerlain pour Homme Extreme
6. New Haarlem
7. Pure Coffee
8. Blu Mediterraneo Sicilian Almond
9. Rose 31
10. Spiritueuse Double Vanille
I like a lot Chanel Egoiste, a warm sandalwoody that's elegant and not too loud. It is probably $85, so a touch above the limit.
Definitely try L'instant/LIDGE, but here are some more to consider...

Gucci PH II
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
L'Essence de Cerruti by Cerruti - One is initially treated to an invigorating bergamot, with its orangey bittersweetness and peppery facets. The freshness of the bergamot commingles with the compost-like and ever-so-slight barnyard aspects of white pepper. Segueing to the middle, the mintiness of birch encases the fresh opening, and infuses its wintergreen sweetness. A raw and somewhat phenolic leather wafts in the background along with the hay-like character of saffron. Transitioning to the comforting base, a creamy cedar infuses its resinous and camphoraceous woodiness, along with the sweetly vanillic and faintly earthy quality of amber. A sensual, fur/skin-like and warm musk also presents. An alluring drydown ensues. This masculine composition is well blended, and has good longevity, 8+ hours, and average projection, being light enough for an office scent. Given its very reasonable, price point, this versatile and somewhat elegant composition is worthy of purchase.
Boucheron Jaipur (pure awesome-ness)
Boucheron pour homme
Burberry Touch (my favorite of the Burberry line)

I'll join the Gucci PH II suggestion and add Boss Bottled, Chanel Allure, Prada Amber (sure it works in winter quite fine), Givenchy Xeryus Rouge
+1 for Boss Bottled
+1 for Eau des Baux
Both are great fall/winter work fragrances.
+1 for Gucci PH II and Chanel Egoiste.
Molecule 01 is PRIMO for work
Tam Dao is a fave of mine for winter.
so many suggestions out there i need to try out. have done some more research from what everyone has said plus some of my own and came up with a list of possible both work and winter fragrance choices.
work: gucci PH II, chanel egoiste/allure (not sure yet, got a sample of allure and liked it, but not sure if i love it enough to purchase), boss bottled or eau de baux
winter: rochas man, LIDGE/LIDG (not sure which), M7, and possible givenchy play intense or pi (again not sure which, tried both and loved them)
what do you think of the list? I will be able to get 3-5 total so if there are any others to consider let me know.
