I'm going simple..Armani Mania. Pretty linear Cedar and Cashmere musk but I love it and think its great for work or casual weekends. Clean and crisp.

"As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round."

Based strictly on what I know and like, among others: Ungaro II, Loewe para Hombre, Joint by Roccobarocco, Davidoff Relax, Boss Elements, Gucci Nobile, YSL pour Homme, Lanvin Vetiver and many more I can not remember right now, but I do have a feeling of "not getting much love" outside Basenotes.
Mark Birley For Men
Lalique White. Encre Noir gets all the attention, but White is a beautiful summer fragrance.
Some day's you're the statue and some days you're the pigeon.
for the autumn season, my most underrated scent right now is Tilda Swinton Like this. Spectacular pumpkin gourmand. Recalls Autumn smells well.
ST Barth Homme. 5 stars fragance
TOP 5: Thundra Profumun, Le Seducteur Micallef, C´iaan Source A, Saint Julep, Green Water
U know....Van Cleef & Arpels is underrated, cause like MIP smells fantastic, Feerie is an amazing fruity fragrance, Tsar and Pour Homme although not my cup of tea (too masculine) are perfect specimens of their genre and frankly I prefer them to the other ultra masculine classics. All of these are underrated imo.
Creed MI. I just don't get why this is one of their most popular frags. I mean, it's not a bad fragrance, but I just don't get it's hype. All I smell is faint melon & sharp, dry saltwater with very poor longevity. Safe summer scent, I suppose, but have a hard time understanding why it's one of their most popular offerings.
Many creeds (milesime bla bla) and many Bonds smell so cheap and synthetic.
Mugler cologne.
Bleu de Chanel.
And many more...
So, this is the opposite of yesterday's thread I posted: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/312...n-Your-Opinion
This time let's look at some fragrances that haven't lived up to their names. I'm talking about frags that have been highly regarded in the frag community but have not lived up to your expectations (in your opinion).
I sometimes wonder why AdG is sooo highly regarded.....to me it's a fragrance that basically does nothing for me.

La Nuit De L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent is too saccharine and teeters on the feminine side.
And, to make matters worst, it is a humdrum composition, at best.
Bous du Portugal? Gasp!
