I'm curious about these Xerjoff Attars. I hope they're in the same league as Amouage Attars.

A friend of mine tested this collection during Fragranze 10 in Firenze and found them very tough, for a "Western nose".

Oud Liban = Oud Lubban (oud+frankincense) by any chance?
And what the heck is Oman Oud? Is Xerjoff adopting the same nonsensical marketing practice of inventing fancy sounding mysterious names for stuff a bunch of chemists whipped up in the lab?

I don't think Oud Liban is Lebanese oud. That'd be like saying Mexican cheese or Canadian bananas.

It's probably oud and lubaan which is frankincense.

Ohh and Sukar Aswad means black sugar lol

Warda aloud means flower of the oud or oud flower

Have they hired Montale ? They must've hired Montale lol

First of all, since when Lebanese are associated with Oud or Luban or any fine incense or fragrances ? Secondly, how can I get the complete 5 Mukhallat Attar Oud ?

I tried King Mas..... Oud ( cant remember the precise spelling ) and Kampuchea Noire too. Both are amazing and IMO the most distinctive along with Oud Luban. £210 for 10 ml though!

I did not even know Xerjoff did attars. They are not even listed on their web. Usual suspect - Harrods?

I tried the attars a week or so ago but didn't think much of them. Not only are they not worth the money but they come across as diluted or watered-down attars.

    Buyer beware!

3 of them I liked but Ive not tried that many attars so can only compare them with the Arabian Ouds which to be honest were a similar price and didnt seem any stronger. Still I wouldnt pay £210 for one- I know you should use them sparingly but I could imagine usin up 10 ml in a week!

Not the most important aspect, I know, but the look of the bottles is gorgeous, really elegant. I love my Tribute so - it's a long shot but I have to ask - I wonder how one could sample these marvels while one doesn't live in a metropolis.

    First the good news:

    Then the bad news:

"Difficult for a western nose" sounds like their construction is in the right direction but watered down is a dead end. You know, I thought they "looked" watered down in the picture but who can trust images? I'll keep my eyes open for opportunities to try them but won't go out of my way.

    Thanks for sharing, Filomele!
