Default Fresh citrus musky...with longevity...suggestions please?!?!

    Hi all

    I am a female...so not wanting a masculine men's aftershave or fragrance :-)

I wear D&G light blue ladies version I love the scent....but doesn't last very long!!!
Looking for some advice/recommendations for something very similar but with staying power :-)

Ps I don't like anything that smells like cucumber or watermelon undertones.

Many thanks for taking the time to read post/reply

    Cor

Resolutely panned by all devotees of the 'classic' Serge Lutens style, BUT taken on its own for what it is, this one is a fresh, citrus + musk that does what it does quite nicely.

There are a handful of reviews in there that review it for what it is, rather than what it is not, that might be helpful.

Versace Man Eau Fraiche. Not crazy longevity, but better than most citrus frags I've tried. Fresh citrus frags almost universally have longevity issues.

I'd go so far as to say it's sexless

You might want to take a look at the lighter end of the Goutal and Maison Fancis Kurkdjian lines as well. It sounds to me like you are looking for a contemporary Eau de Cologne approach where the musks lean in for duration.

Hi Cor. D&G Light Blue is all Citrus (well, apple) and Iso E Super. Maybe you would like Terre D'Hermes? I nicked that recommendation from lilybelle from a similar thread that I read. It's genius!

+1 Eau de Cartier. Also depends on what the expectations are for the somewhat contradictory mix of 'fresh' and 'musky'.

I'd say it answers to fresh, but I can't say I remember any of the other qualities in your recipe.

Sorry Cor!! I was catching up on your thread and I see that I misread. You DON'T want a masculine. Oh well, so much for the Terre d'Hermes rec. DUH!

Re: Escentric Molecule 1. You will probably like it. It might be a nice idea to try the whole range.

First thing that came to mind was Creed Millesime Imperial. I know you specified no watermelon and this one does have a citrus, fruity melon top but you'll never know until you smell it. Also, the Blu Mediterraneo line from the Acqua di Parma house may fit your bill, particularly Arancia di Capri.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Universalis or Cologne pour le Matin.

Or better yet, look for Eau de Rochas pour Homme. It's comfortably unisex.
