Default Something similar to an open fire smell?

    hi all!

is there anything out there that smells like a wood/coal burning fire? i don't just mean a fragrance with a smokey hint to it, i mean something that really smells like you are in a room with an open log fire burning and crackling away... or like when you are out walking in the autumn air, you might suddenly get a sweet whiff of the damp fallen red/brown leaves mixed with a blast of a house's chimney smoke... something like that.

the only frag i have that might come close to what i imagine is pure malt (sweet/smokey), but its still someway off what i want.

anything out there that might hit the spot for me?

    thanks!

C&S's F&M has a real open fire vibe -- especially their burning sticks.

You may consider making your own fragrance by purchasing ingredients from a soap or candlemaking supply business like (saveonscents.com has LOTS of these strange specific scents and they are really accurate)

I have a BIG bottle of this scent called "Campfire smoke" and it smells EXACTLY like a campfire... E_X_A_C_T_L_Y!
Specifically like what your clothing smells like after a sitting by the campfire.
    http://cart.candlesupply.com/Campfir...l#.UGCZ0Y1lTZc

PM me if you think this is something you want to try, I can send you some of it if you want.

    **********************

LUSH has a few products that smell like FIre Smoke. In specific their shampoo bar called "saok n float".... http://www.lushusa.com/Soak-and-Floa...,en_US,pd.html

I know it's not a perfume, but the scent does stay in your hair all day.

It doesn't smell exactly like a campfire but it does have woods and spices in it which gives off a autumn day burning chimney type of vibe. Nice smoky scent.

one of my samples of Aventus was very ashy, immediately made me think of the smell of clothes the day after a campfire. However, my other batch doesn't so much.

Chanel Sycomore is exactly what you are looking for. That smoky/autumn leaf/woody accord that you describe is exactly how I see Sycomore.

Ok, Black Tourmaline doesn't smell enough like a fire, more like ground up gravel. Aventus gets mentioned no matter what note someone is asking for- besides it's more like cigarette ashes. Someone mentioned Demeter, their frags smell nice, but don't last 15 min. You will need to reapply OFTEN all day to enjoy. Dyptique has a great candle called Feu de Bois that smells the most like what you are asking. I was obsessed with finding the same smoke scent in a fragrance until I decided that I really didn't want to smell like my clothes were full of campfire smoke. all day. I enjoy the smell with room sprays or candles instead. If you are daring, get a small sample of Amouage Tribute Attar, the newer mix out there now is very very smokey like a barbeque.

Try to find a bad batch of Aventus. Campfire/BBQ pit....that's exactly what it smells like after the opening disappears.
