Guerlain outdid themselves with the ornate packaging for Heritage, even down to the carded samples they're all so elegant and well crafted. Every time I see the packaging above I think it looks like a little perfume coffin. LOL. It also explains, in some way, the packaging for the masculines in those wood framed bottles (that I personally do not like).

I caved into the hype and bought a bottle of Aventus. It's a great scent. Solid, long lasting, modern, sexy. The whole package. I still don't get the hype though! I like it as much as Silver Mountain Water and Erolfa (two of my faves).

It's a 2012 batch as far as I can tell. Btw the packaging sucks! The box has this crappy logo of a dude on a horse made out of tin foil and the bottle is kinda bleh. Anyway, it's the juice on the inside that counts. Just surprised they didn't do better with the "look."

A kindred spririt! Congrats on your very wise and excellent purchases.

I highly recommend you seek out the vintage EdT, with the gold cap and sprayer. Older versions come in a splash bottle with the red zig zag box design. All are excellent. It's my favorite version of HR for regular daytime wear.

I shouldn't really gloat, but I can't stop smiling after just completing a purchase of a 99% full backup bottle of Patou pour Homme Privé for $91.50 delivered. I don't think the seller knew just what a rare gem they were letting go, but I am happy to take it off their hands. :-)
