    Good morning,

Une Voix Noire (Serge Lutens) last night since my decant arrived. I posted my opinion so far in the respective thread. Today it is Fourreau Noir... neither of these is necessarily 'noir' per se, so am I in a 'noir' mood now?

Anyway, what G. said - Have a good one today!

    Good morning all.

I'm revisting Opium, cir.1989. My daugther went back to college yesterday and it got me thinking about the time I started college way back when - which was also the time I was introduced to Opium through a friend I made in my life drawing class. It was a memorable day; the intoxicating smell of Opium and my first full frontal male nude in broad daylight

    Enjoy your day, everyone.

It's still warm here, so I believe today's fragrance will be Guerlain Mandarin Basilic.

((tdem)) I hope Mom's residual toothache from the abscess/root canal is subsiding by now. (No calls from her as yet today.)

I'm wearing YSL In Love Again-- I love the combination of grapefruit and black currant. So energizing!

**Ladies (and gents), there are several sample passes open for sign-up-- kalli has one going for Ineke Hothouse Flower and I have one for the newest, amber-based reformulation of Evelyn Rose (see my siggy.)

Foustie, there is more to this story. I was late for class, the last one to arrive with my new friend veiled in Opium, and the only easel left was the one bang in front of the male model. The mesmerising scent of Opium and the embarrassment of having to study a naked man for a full hour made my feel dazed... I was so green

    Hello everyone -

I'm going for a run in Bulgari Eau Parfumée au Thé Rouge, purchased with this very purpose in mind, and I must say it was a great choice. It's clearly a tea scent so it's fresh and vibrant and rather tannic, but warmed just enough with soft spices and mellow fig to fit the cooler mornings and the change of season ...very nice!

    Y'all have a great day!

^^^That brought back memories! We never forget that first time, do we, LadyM? I remember trying so hard not to look, leaving that part of the sheet...blank! The instructor was a much older man, was very tactful, gentle and kind. I got over my shyness about drawing nudes fairly quickly, and then I started to enjoy them, not as nudes but as organic shapes. They made me realize how beautiful people really are...when you study them...and the more conventionally ugly, less proportionate, the more beautiful to draw.

I'm wearing Patou Eau de Joy today.

    Have a joyful day/evening, all.

A nice rainy day here today, still warm enough for it to be wonderful feeling. Everything is lush - as it cools off the gardens start, farm harvests here run from late October through May when it is cooler & dryer, but the wet warm start to the season is so alive feeling. This summer has been like the ones of my childhood, hot but with afternoon rains every day, true Florida summer.

Honestly, if this were my desk, I know I would spend the entire day rolling pencils etc up and down the slope as a grand exercise in procrastination.

Lilybelle - completely agree with you on the nudes. I'm sure Lucian Freud would, too.

What was that about procrastination ? oh right, yes, back to work...

A Wolfie favorite for me today - Bottega Veneta. Finished off my sample, and I really like this one. It is a little plummy thing though. But the suede is lovely.
