    Morning ladies,

Today I'm waiting for the postie (again) before I can apply a scent. But when I do, it will be Eau D'Italie - Pesteum Rose

    Good morning,

Une Voix Noire (Serge Lutens) last night since my decant arrived. I posted my opinion so far in the respective thread. Today it is Fourreau Noir... neither of these is necessarily 'noir' per se, so am I in a 'noir' mood now?

Anyway, what G. said - Have a good one today!

    Good morning all.

I'm revisting Opium, cir.1989. My daugther went back to college yesterday and it got me thinking about the time I started college way back when - which was also the time I was introduced to Opium through a friend I made in my life drawing class. It was a memorable day; the intoxicating smell of Opium and my first full frontal male nude in broad daylight

    Enjoy your day, everyone.

Foustie, there is more to this story. I was late for class, the last one to arrive with my new friend veiled in Opium, and the only easel left was the one bang in front of the male model. The mesmerising scent of Opium and the embarrassment of having to study a naked man for a full hour made my feel dazed... I was so green

    Hello everyone -

I'm going for a run in Bulgari Eau Parfumée au Thé Rouge, purchased with this very purpose in mind, and I must say it was a great choice. It's clearly a tea scent so it's fresh and vibrant and rather tannic, but warmed just enough with soft spices and mellow fig to fit the cooler mornings and the change of season ...very nice!

    Y'all have a great day!

^^^That brought back memories! We never forget that first time, do we, LadyM? I remember trying so hard not to look, leaving that part of the sheet...blank! The instructor was a much older man, was very tactful, gentle and kind. I got over my shyness about drawing nudes fairly quickly, and then I started to enjoy them, not as nudes but as organic shapes. They made me realize how beautiful people really are...when you study them...and the more conventionally ugly, less proportionate, the more beautiful to draw.

I'm wearing Patou Eau de Joy today.

    Have a joyful day/evening, all.

A nice rainy day here today, still warm enough for it to be wonderful feeling. Everything is lush - as it cools off the gardens start, farm harvests here run from late October through May when it is cooler & dryer, but the wet warm start to the season is so alive feeling. This summer has been like the ones of my childhood, hot but with afternoon rains every day, true Florida summer.

Gandahajala ~ Your comment about pencil/procrastination made me smile more.
Evangeline ~ Your sweet, red tea scent in the cool morning air must smell extraordinary!

Well, the "you show me yours, and I'll show you mine" request I made of gardener Larimar yesterday has taken a funny turn in my mind, thanks to ladymurasaki's reminiscences. You girls are such a hoot. Hugs and kisses all around.

Sampling Chance by Chanel. Can see some similarities to Coco Mademoiselle, which I tried the other day. It's pleasant but very "perfumey" and somewhat nondescript IMO.

Also, if I'm hard on perfumes lately, it's probably partly because I've had some sinus troubles and my nose hasn't been the best.

    Have a good day all!

Q., I do not know even what it is but while we are on it, give me a fulcrum too! Sounds like something I might enjoy as a process (even better if with L., right?) and the result does not really matter!

My nose hasn't been the best lately either due to sinus/allergy troubles. I can barely smell/taste, but it comes and goes. Much congestion here, sneezing, itchy face/eyes. I haven't been plagued by this in a long time. SotE is my comfort scent Chantilly dusting powder, parfum and spray mist. I can smell something...but I'm not not getting the full effect. I'm going to bed early tonight, having taken an allergy pill which will knock me out in a while, but in the meantime I have my laptop, my dog, the TV clicker, and a big pile of books. If I didn't feel like Sneezy, I'd be perfectly content with this set up. Nightie night!

I'm wearing POTL Luctor et Emergo today. It was especially incense-y today.

Retesting several today..narrowing down what I want for Christmas, lol. I'm like a potpourri, a good potpourri!

Besides the Christmas stuff..I got a Molinard Oeillet sample I am sniffing..really waxy, sweet clove..really waxy. This scent is too waxy sweet. Oh well.

It's a swelteringly hot day today. I think it hit about 30ºC in the late afternoon. No hint go autumn here in SF - it's either foggy or sunny, or at times just too sunny.

Am in Frederic Malle Le Parfum de Therese. Makes coping with the heat ever so slightly better.
