I have LIDGE, and Pure Malt. I have tried a couple Serge Lutens and am still on the search for something a bit toned down. I feel like the AMen line (which most here are probably most familiar) are a bit too sickly sweet. Does anyone have any suggestions on some less intense gourmands that are still a bit sweet and aren't readily available at Macy's. Thanks!
Looking to swap…look for my thread on the trade page. May be interested in buying Amouage. Having fun with shower gels. If you want to get rid of yours or swap for frags, give me a shout!
Hypocrites will always be a thorn in my back....and my middle finger will always be the best remedy.....
I like to reach for Fourreau Noir when in such a mood - wearing it today.
Rochas Man will fit the bill.
Edit: Oh..I see you have it.

Maybe Givenchy Play Intense? You'll have to try it first.
CSP Matin Calin perhaps.

Penhaligon's Endymion is restrained enough to be wearable in virtually any situation.
Hanae Mori HM is an undercover gourmand. It starts off citrusy and ends up smelling like an ice cream sunday. Big compliment getter, huge projection, great longevity.

+1 Endymion. Also Luten's Five o'Clock au Gingembre is a good'un.
+ Another one for Endymion.
Animale Animale is my absolute favorite semi-gourmand. Its friggin cheap as well, and I love the cheesey early 90s bottle design. For around $25 for 100 mls its at least worth a try.
+1 for CK One Shock. Lovely, masculin, comforting sweet tobacco scent. Definitely the best CK scent in years.

+1 for Coromandel.
Also, have you tried Cadjmere 18 by PG?
I'm not sure of your taste exactly, but if you like cheap designers Rocawear Evolution might fit the bill. It's about $30 for a 100ml and it's pretty good. Of course it's not on par with Endymion, Coromandel, or 21, quality wise, but it's a nice scent--Coffee, Incense, and Rum on a vanilla/tonka bean base.
Have you tried 24 gold? A cheapie but goodie as well.
Cuir Beluga by Guerlain - Upon application, one is treated to an entrancing melange. Sweet, orangey mandarin, along with its lovely, soft, floral hints, commingles with an everlasting flower, which proffers its syrupy, herbaceous, hay-like sweetness. And, magical aldehydes lift the captivating blend, adding an effervescence to the citrus and luster to the floral, as well as a soft, vanillin undercurrent. A burnt-sugar phantom can be sensed. Transitioning to the heart, heliotrope shrouds the opening with its cherry-vanilla and faintly almond aroma and powdery aspect. A luxurious and sensual, Spanish-leather illusion, reminiscent of the spice, citrus and floral components used in its tanning process, serves as a light underpinning for the delicate heliotrope. Segueing to the warm base, a sweet, almost creamy and floury vanilla, an aroma somewhat akin to vanilla custard combining with a pastry delicacy, interplays with a balsamic and warm amber. The sumptuous leather is still in the background. And, an impressive drydown ensues. This select and demurely elegant composition is a cool-weather, unisex scent, with average projection and good longevity, 8-10 hours.
