Thread: Fake Terre D' HErmes?
Sorry for adding to the fake fragrance topics, but I want some input before I splurge on the pure parfum version of TDH. I purchesed the 3.3oz EDT used off of craigslst from a guy who said he received it as a gift and didn't like it. It smelled EXACTLY like TDH so I took it (This was a year ago). Recently, I noticed some of the "Terre D' Hermes" lettering was chipping off so I decided to inspect the bottle further. At this time, I noticed that the bottle was imperfect , as the inside was slanted slightly. The TDH on the top of the cap was missing the accent mark over the E, and there was not a batch number anywhere on the bottle. I went to Barney's to compare and the tester did not have a batch number, but did have an accent mark over the E. The bottom yellow/orange color is attributed to an orange sticker. Thoughts? I'd keep this and use it if it is legit, but if fake, I don't want to risk spraying bad ingredients on my skin.
Hard to know for sure, but it seems OK.
The stem sure looks fishy. Way too long for the bottle.
Just compared to my bottle and the stem is not that long and mine is straight across on the bottom and doesn't have the slant.

2. Creed Aventus
3. Tom Ford Extreme
4. Gucci Pour Homme II
5. Terre d'Hermes
Yeah, the tube in the bottle looks squirrelly. It may be a fake, but I guess it's too late to tell for sure. How's the longevity and does it react at all with your skin?
I have bad feelings.......

Longevity is average. I could smell it on myself after 4-6 hrs minimum and it doesn't smell like ammonia or ethanol unlike other fakes that I've smelt. I should have had the Hermes rep take a look at it the other day.
Want to trade - Chanel Platinum Egoiste for Dior Eau Sauvage...
I'd guess fake. I always try to scrape off the lettering with my fingernails as a test. The only real bottle that scraped off was vintage M7 testers.

The text on the bottle should be crisp and even.
"...her fragrance all in my keeping; softly she comes in the night." Lyrics, Gordon Lightfoot, "Softly."
Looks fake to me. I have a .42oz bottle of TdH perfume, even this small a bottle has a batch number.
Fake. The imperfection in the bottle of the glass and the absurdly long stem give it away. Sorry brotato.
"I am a robot and I like cheese"
1. Axe Kilo
2. Lectric Shave
3. Vicks Vapor Rub
4. Febreze Pour Homme
5. Preferred Stock
Stem gives it away without looking elsewhere.
There should be a serial number on the rear side of the bottle, in the lower right corner (when looking at the rear).
I agree with the observations regarding the tube/stem, and the uneven shape of the inside of the glass bottle. Looks fake to me as well.
That stem is a dead giveaway.
Sorry for the money you just lost.
Looking for Vintage Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. 2010 release and older.
Is the juice eating away at your skin? If so, it's a fake.
I think its a fake.
The stem and the slant at the base where the juice is held is a pretty good give away.
I absolutely think most people believe there are way more fakes than there really are.
But I would bet money that the pictured bottle is a counterfeit product. A BAD counterfeit. Sorry.

Def a fake. Seems like the propositions on the glass has some oblique angles, and the tubing from the sprayer is too long. Pity!
Looks similar to the fake in this thread:
