    Default Lacoste Elegance, any love?

I have been contemplating making a post on this for a couple weeks now, to see how this compares to the current trendy fragrances. Elegance is rarely, if ever mentioned. This stuff is amazing. Raspberry, chocolate, mint, pepper, doesn't smell synthetic really, projects decent, longevity could be better though. It's gourmand, yet it's oriental, yet it's green. And it focuses basically on those 4 notes I mentioned, without any "odds and ends" thrown in there to cheapen it up, or to use for fillers.

Anyways, how does this fragrance effect you all? Also would anyone happen to know the perfumer on this one?
    My Current Top 10:

    Rive Gauche Light (2004)
    Fahrenheit (1988)
    Paul Smith Man (2009)
    Burberry London (2006)
    Prada Amber pour Homme (2006)
    Live Jazz (1998)
    Eau des Baux (2006)
    Midnight in Paris EDP (2010)
    Arpege pour Homme (2005)
    Eau Duelle (2010)

It's OK but the best Lacoste releases IMO were the earliest releases.

    Exactly.

This was OK, my wife actually liked it a lot on me. I grew bored of it quickly. I think Dolce and Gabanna La Amoureaux is similar.

I thought Elegance was a little chemical smelling, but I did like the raspberry note. Same reason I like Fuel for Life. Lacoste Homme is also pretty good. Like the boozy notes.

It's got everything I look for except depth, so for me it's more of a frag I'd wear if I'm not going to sit around a lot, when the lack of depth can become irritating.

I haven't tried it. Unfortunately, based on my experience with Lacoste, I probably wouldn't like it. The only one I have actually enjoyed was PH, and possibly White.

From what I have sampled of it, it seemed fleeting which was too bad because it really is a nice scent

Yeah, Elegance is one that really impressed me. Really cheap and overlooked, considering, like you said, it's gourmand nature. Raspberry isn't something that always works well in masculine frags, but in Elegance, it's about as well-done as any I've tried. I believe it made my perfect 30 fragrance list as well.

It was the first full bottle that I finished off. My wife (girlfriend at the time) loved it, and there was something different about it that I really liked. I have experienced a lot more of the frag world since then so I don't know how I would feel about it now since it's been about 3 years since I last smelled it, but from what I remember of it, I think I'd still dig it.

Sweet, powdery berry quality. But light.

Powdery? I don't get that at all, but all noses are different.
