Default SotD: Sunday 7th October 2012

    Good morning !.

    Happy Birthday Haunani

    Happy Birthday Kevin Guyer

    Happy Birthday KarmaLee

Hope Mr Kiliwia enjoyed his day yesterday.

Ali, no crowing from me following the football. Our victory was hardly deserved and the manner in which it was achieved was a little embarrassing

Happy birthday to Haunani, Kevin Guyer and KarmaLee, and a happy belated birthday to Kiliwia!

It's a gloriously sunny day in London and having spent yesterday gardenining, I'm going to take a break and test some samples, starting with Petale Noir by Agent Provocateur. I did try it a bit yesterday, but the Micallef Gardenia I was wearing was so dominant that it altered my senses.

    Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

    Shhh still hiding from JON

SotD is my old friend vintage Choc de Cardin. A true citric, green chypre for this fresh blue skied day. Smell of happy holidays and being in love. Green, astringent, citric sour and salty oakmoss. Glorious! I now have about 10 mls to eek out so a full generous wearing is a total luxury

Happy Birthday to our Haunani (come on out and play, willya?), KarmaLee (speedy recovery for you dear, are you still at John Hopkins'?) and KevinG.

Somehow I think it was Auntie Knit's Birthday yesterday, but I am not too sure. She is in Las Vegas this week, I hope. JR, you know how to check it, or dontcha?

LM, no K.'s birthday is yet to come this month.

In Piguet's Visa today which causes me sniff my arm constantly, followed by happy sighs. Have been lemming this since cacio's fruity pass; think I have confirmed with a decant that it's time to give in and purchase. This perfume has knocked me into submission!

    Good morning everyone -

I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised, but I'm twins with Wolfie in 8e Jour ...I actually woke up thinking about it so the choice was obvious, but I think that's a slightly uncanny, though perfectly delightful, coincidence.

    Y'all have a great day!

Happy Birthday wishes to Haunani, KarmaLee and KevinG!
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan

Having a rare Serge Lutens craving this a.m., and I almost literally had to wring glass to get a smidge of Fille en Aiguilles onto my left wrist.

If/when our birthday kids do show up, I'll add a scoop of ice cream to their cake. Children, where are you?

Wearing Le Mimosa by Annick Goutal, from a sample. Well, this smells exactly like the beautiful yelowish-green and pink mimosa flowers that hang from the majestic mimosa tree, on the walk down to beach in the summer. There's a trace of musk, I guess to ground the fragrance, but aside from that, it's a solaflore. So,while lovely and accurate, I've grown a bit bored with it after an hour. Time to move on the the next SoTD!

    Enjoy your SoT Day everyone.

She-wolf today, LOL. There is something about the *dirty musk* that smell bent uses that I do like a lot. It's kind of addictive smelling. I have the Horny Little Devil and this one, they are like brother and sister. Oils not sprays.
