Question Your Favourite Perfume Used In Hair Products ?

I have really become aware of the strength and diversity of perfume used in hair products such as shampoo and conditioner.
Some are mind blowing and much more interesting than the regular designer "junk" fragrances churned out these days. Of course, even though some are quite potent, they do not have the staying power of an edt., but they certainly give food for thought.
If you can recommend such a product simply because of its perfume, please do so. I really like the smell of the Franck Provost shampoos and conditioners. Also, the Aussie range of hair products, which despite the name is, I believe an american product ?
Their Custard Apple shampoo smells fantastic and would make a great gourmand fragrance.
    Any other suggestions appreciated !

I must say I do not share your love for shampoos, but agree they are sometimes better than most mainstream perfumes.

Luca Turin spoke very positively of EO rose and chamomile shampoo, which prompted me to buy it. It is indeed a nice clean floral, though not the stuff of dreams.

In a thread some time ago, a BN compared Amouage Gold man to Three Flowers/Tres flores hair gel, which also prompted me to purchase such supposed wonder. Regrettably, the gel doesn't smell like the Amouage wonder at all. But it doesn't smell bad for a hair gel, a cheap but effective floral.

I like Aveda's organic/all-natural offerings. I own Pure-formance Man in EdT form and am looking forward to buying one of the two hair gels that smell similar.

At the beginning of the 90s, there was this Palmolive shampoo, of course discontinued by now, which had such a wonderfully brisk, green, refreshing cedar, also and even slightly vertiver-like scent to it.

I just bought that shampoo for the exact same reason. Not tried it yet.

Claus Porto makes really nice soaps and shampoos. I love their Lime/Basil.

I agree with monkeyBars on Aveda. They are organic based and have aromatherapy fragrances in them that are fantastic and are great on your hair.

Really do love this firm, but their prices are outrageous.......the conditioner masque costs 35 euros and their shampoos cost 20 euros.........

I use Aveda shampoo and conditioner. Damage remedy is kind of a woody herbal smell, my ex- boyfriend used to hate it but got used to it. Fantastic if you wanna grow out your hair without split ends. On top of this the dry remedy moisturizing conditioner is Amazing!!! Leave in while washing rest of body it's more minty smelling and tones out the herbs of the shampoo. NEXT.... Kenra Platinum Blow- Dry Spray. 3 sprays of this and it's almost a perfume in itself. I went without it for 5 months and just got back on. It's marvelous!! Also if you have dry, brittle hair, "It's a 10" is great to put on before brushing out the tangles... then proceed to the Kenra before adding heat. Good smelling hair without the overkill has to be mixed well with fragrances. Even the Biolage line is very aromatic but good. If you are looking for a plain smell but looking to get the balance of moisture Paul Mitchell is pretty good as long as it's not the minty shampoo!!!

This product is not a shampoo but I LOVE the fragrance. It's a body wash so it might conflict with whatever fragrance you might spray on. However if you use at the end of the day, you can enjoy the relaxing fragrance which lingers on your skin before retiring to bed. Made with chamomile, lavender and ylang ylang.

It is true that fish stink. It is also true that the river is
beautiful. But the river would be beautiful despite the fish. What
    is noxious remains so.

That is not to say that sh*t is not useful when buried in the wheat
field. Bread made from the field tastes sweet, wine from the arbor
sweetest. All things serve a purpose, but that is no reason to
glorify what is abominable. A man must still watch where he walks
    and keep his sandals clean.

Kiehl's Superbly Smoothing Argan Shampoo is nice and refreshing. I'm not sure if the scent comes from the Argan oil, but it is strong and invigorating, maybe a little too strong.

I have tried this and liked this one also.
