would never want to, but if I absolutely had to, I'd probably go with Creed. There the only house with 3 fragrances in my top 10. Damn I would sure miss my Tobacco Vanille & LIDGE though...

Very close between Guerlain and Chanel - but Chanel would get it mainly because I love Chanel No.5 so much. Couldn't live without it.

If I were limited to one house only, it would be:
    1. Dior, alternatively,
    2. Yves Saint Laurent

Creed may not be the most innovative, but their products sure are wearable.

I have a sample of Xerjoff Mamluk, I wasn't too impressed. I really like oud fragrances though. Which do you think is the best from Xerjoff?

Is there some kind of learning curve with Channel no. 5? I just can't get myself to like it. Please help.

This is easy. For their range of fragrances from affordable to very exclusive, and just the sheer variety, it would have to be:

To choose only one would be traumatic, however, in the spirit of the posted question, I would choose Guerlain to be my maison de fragrance.

Ooooh! Difficult choice. I could live with Santa Maria Novella. From the best Citrus Colognes....... through the florals...... to the wierd and wonderful tobacco/leather/incense fragrances.

Since my last response on this thread I've discovered Jicky EdP, which is my number one right now by some margin.

Having said that, I've also discovered Eau Sauvage Extreme and Eau Sauvage Parfum - the former is very good, and the latter is fantastic. So I'd hate to have lose Dior.

But Guerlain has it, if I have to choose one.

I have come to realize that I cannot pick just one without mentioning others that I adore.

Whose idea was this anyway? LOL. I believe variety is the spice of life, especially in olfactory pleasure.

I have to mention, or else I wouldn't be honest - Balenciaga. Their male fragrances literally stop me in my tracks when I smell them - I am mesmerized. A house that is so significant and dear to me.

A more fair thread that was on BN a while back - "Name your Top 5 houses". At least then, we don't feel like Tom Hanks stuck on an island talking to a ball named, "Wilson", losing our sanity. That is the relative effect of having to choose one house for us with a deep passion...

    Cheers.
