Default If you could only wear one house...

I was inspired by the thread by phi, planning to build his entire wardrobe from Bond no.9 frags. Made me wonder, if you could only wear fragrances from one house, designer or niche, which one would you chose and why?

Keep in mind that in this scenario, all your fragrances have to be from this house, so you might want to look for versatility and range of fragrances as well as quality.

It would be hard to decide, but it would most likely be a close combat between the following: Chanel, Dior, Caron, YSL, Guerlain, Hermes and Givenchy. All of them are, in my opinion, outstanding in terms of versatility, creativity and quality.

Easy for me - Chanel. Between the Exclusifs and their main line, all my needs would be met.

My 2 favourite Frags of all time are Fahrenheit and Dior Homme Intense, so I'd have to go for Dior.

Supertough choice. Perhaps Etat Libre d'Orange for me, the quirky line has a pretty broad spectrum of scents, from traditional fresh (Eloge), or masculine (Je suis), to leathers (Rien, Tom of Finland), florals (Jasmin et cigarette, rossy, etc.) and more. But Chanel would also do, with its exclusives.

Hard for me to say since I'm relatively new to fragrances. I like a lot of different things, but I'd want a house that has a LOT of choices, most of which would be fairly different from one another.

I guess if I had to choose, it'd be Creed since I like a good amount of their stuff, but not enough to buy it. So, I assume that I'd like them more if I could only wear stuff from Creed. Plus, Aventus is my comfort scent, so I would have a hard time being without that.

During my limited time/experience, I've found that I like most of the scents I've tried from Chanel and Tom Ford....with the edge going to Chanel.

    Tauer for me.
Considering it'd include the Pentachord line and Zeta - there's my fresh translucent fragrances. Then you got your heavy winter stuff - the classic line - throwing Tableau in there too and that'd be gravy

Tough call... It would have to be either Malle, Micallef or Mona di Orio. If I had to choose, then I guess Malle.
    Current Top Favorites:
    1) Portrait of a Lady (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Giorgio for Men vintage (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4) Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6) Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)

I would have chosen Caron, but that much strength all the time would be too much, so Dior, mostly vintage formulae, as I like the range within the house best: all Poisons, Diorella, Diorama, Miss Dior, Miss Dior Cherie, Fahrenheit, Dioressence, Dune, Diorling, Diorissimo, Eau Sauvage, La Collection. Set for most every occasion.

At this point, Hermes. I like the most number of scents so far from this house out of any other house. Runners up: Guerlain, Chanel, YSL. I have yet to try many Dior, but I would like to work on that.

    Cheers!

I wear either Dior Homme or Dior Homme Intense about 80% of the time these days and I'm also a big fan of Farenheit, so it would have to be Dior for me. Creed or Guerlain would be close seconds. I think between those 3 houses I could be completely satisfied fragrancewise for the rest of my life.

I own the most Penhaligon's, and I'd have a hard time living without Sartorial, so I guess it's an easy choice for me. They've also got a nice, large range, so I wouldn't be too limited in style.

If this meant I had acess to their entire range. Which is to say all reformulations, and every fragrance ever made by said house, whether discontinued or not, in all concentrations then Guerlain would be my top pick. I could put together a very sizable collection that way.

If it were only fragrances in production then the choice becomes a difficult one. In the end it will probably be Annick Goutal though despite the lightness of their scents. If I did not have acess to their fragrances I'd be unable to wear many fragrances in summer. Plus they have a good lineup of winter scents as well.

Creed, but I'd hate to be put to that limitation. Tom Ford, Chanel, Guerlain, Malle, Amouage, Acqua di Parma and Profumum all number among my favorite houses as well. I think MFK will soon be added to that list also.

Tough one but I'll go with Creed.

If I lived in a colder climate though I'd choose Tom Ford (I love the private blend line but find they work best during fall and especially winter).

I own proportionately more Creeds than any other house, so they would be the logical answer. I would never want to be faced with such a scenario though.

It would have to be Guerlain for me. Chanel would be close - I'd hate to have to give up Egoiste and Anteus - but there are more Guerlain fragrances that I love.

Oh, but how could I lose Rive Gauche and Eau Sauvage? No, the one house would have to be my house, and all the fragrances in it
