Default How do you organize/store your fragrances?

Do you have a glass display case, a nice armoire to keep out the sun, a shoebox under the bed, a vault in your closet etc.

Pictures would be appreciated if possible. I'd like to see how you store your fragrances and/or organize them for ease of use.

In a mini fridge in our bedroom, with backup bottles on the door of the spare fridge in the basement.

I have an extra shelf in my dresser that I don't use so I store them there. I keep the boxes on top of the dresser so when the bottle is empty I can collect them.

The ones I love and cherish I keep in a small fridge in my room(Narguine, TV, MI, Straight To Heaven, Vetiver Tonka, etc..

Stuff that I wear in on a daily(212, ADGio, Hypnose, decants of some of my love/cherish ones) I keep in a dresser away from the light...

Does it help to keep non-vintage fragrances refrigerated or do only vintages need to be preserved like this? Or do you store them that way so they all stay good for the rest of your lifetime?

I keep mine in a drawer in my closet, the bottles still in their boxes (or in dark bags, if bought vintage without a box). Refrigeration is of course ideal, but a room that remains cool will do as well. In any case, light is the enemy number one. Of course this is for very long term conservation. It is not needed if you plan to consume the frag within a few years. However, no matter what the horizon, keep away from direct sunlight, which can damage a frag in a matter of weeks.

All of my bottles fit in this clear plastic storage box. My samples/decants are stored separately in a bag.

For current rotation: 1920s-30s antique nightstands or telephone tables often have small square compartments and dark shelving underneath that is still easy to get at/open for display. I use a dark wood 1920s bedside table to arrange my absolute constant loves. Kept out of light and heat but still right at hand for frequent use. I've also pushed all books to one side of a huge room divider type shelving unit intended for storing record albums and one whole side is now vintage fragrances. The book hoarding sort of hides the perfume accumulation from visitors. For full bottles that are not in current rotation: in their boxes in the deep drawers of a wood filing desk: top drawer for favorites and on down to those just for reference in the bottom drawers.

For samples and decants: I keep current-use and soon-to-use ones in those metal or silver lipstick holder displays intended for vintage vanities. Ones I've tried or dislike go in large clear plastic filing folders (ideally alpha-sorted, but I'm not that organized). Decants are usually transferred to vintage purse spray atomizers and stored on the vanity. For minis and extrait: little square shelves or curio cabinets from antique shops show off their aesthetic interest.

I know a person who stores his fragrances in a mini fridge, but doesn't actually turn the fridge on. Is that how most people do it ?

Wherever I find space, lol. I rotate the nicer looking bottles out for the occasional display in an LED-lit display unit.

I only have a small collection (relative to BN standards) of about 20 frags & some are smaller decants, so I don't need a ton of room. I just keep them all in one drawer, out of the light, in my bedroom. My house is always around 68-70 degrees F & with my collection I'll likely use what I have much sooner than they'll spoil without refrigeration.

I emptied a drawer in my dresser. Set out a towel and placed my bottles in there. Regardless of how hot it gets, those bottles remain cool and out of the sun.

I put all of them in there. I have no idea if they will last for the rest of my lifetime (some may break down for other reasons), but it's been years now and they are still good.

The Osmothèque stores its fragrances at 50º generally, and 40º for citruses. I just checked the thermometer in my mini fridge and it reads 44º on the bottom shelf.

In various regular cabinets in my room, no refrigeration, yet cool, dry and aired, as well as sheltered from sunlight.
Aside from that, no coding/organizing/archiving whatsoever, according to colors, designers, wearing time of the day, wearing season, notes, chronology etc.

In a dark, closed cabinet. Brands of which I own more than 10 fragrances are kept together, the rest is quite random. Most of the fragrances are kept in their original boxes.

Non-fragrance collectors must think we are crazy in the way we take care of our prized, little bottles.

I keep my fragrances on a wooden shelves rack, in a small cooled store room, away from light. I want to enjoy also visually my collection so I keep them out of their boxes (but still keeping them aside).
Also, I group them on the shelves according to season/category, because it's easier that way for me to make a decision on what to wear that day/occasion...anyway, this isn't working all the time
"I love fragrances because they provide a sheer endless variety: there is a scent for every occasion, mood or feeling. Standing before my collection in the morning matching a perfume to my needs is one of the most enjoyable things in my day". I don't want to miss that

In a closet. Wifey rearranges my perfujes every few weeks as she sees fit.

I love it. I find myself reaching for perfumes I wouldn't usually in the previous arrangement.

I feel like a property magnate selecting for a geisha lol.

In a closet, with no particular arrangement, I search for what strikes me on a given day.

As for my arrangement, I have them divided into 5 groups. Night scents, Day scents, Scents I find myself constantly reaching for, scents I do not really care for, and samples/decants
