I hear a lot about 24 gold but I have only seen it in walmart and I'm in the dessert over here so not sure how well a gourmand would do. I barely wear my joop any more because of this. On the other side it is getting colder. Should I buy?
Mandarina Duck Black - It's tangerine, vanilla, and tonka bean. Also has just a touch of tobacco.
24 Gold - Raspberry creamy vanilla with a slightly smokey amber base.
Ted Lapidus Altamir - Smells like a combination of Le Male, PI, and Fleur de Male.
Strictly Private - A better version of fahrenheit 32.
Mauboussin, the one marketed to women. A great gourmand that is a great discovery: Top is yellow plum, bergamot or red tangerine. White peach, Indian jasmine, ylang-ylang and Turkish rose in the heart of the perfume. The base adds accords of amber, patchouli, Indonesian sandalwood, cedar, benzoic and vanilla.
Another is Ambre Gris by Balmain. Pink pepper, cinnamon, tuberose, immortelle, myrrh, smoky gaïac wood, benzoin, white musks, ambergris.
"No elegance is possible without it...perfume is a part of you." Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel
If you like unusual gourmand scents you owe it to yourself to try a sample of Liz Zorn's Leather Krem - found at soivohle.com.
EDIT: And if you go there to try it out, you might as well give a try to a half dozen of her other fabulous fragrances. Others will have their favorites but I recommend:
Tobacco and Tuille

Ok - this one flies under the radar and is strangely gourmand:
Ore by Slumberhouse.
It's a kind of balsamic chocolate scent. It starts off as a dry balsamic cocao (not sweet at all), but dries down more sweet caramel - chocolate, but still with the balsamic edge. This contrast in notes makes for a challenging gourmand (ish) scent. So if you want to check out the outer edges of gourmand, this one may be worth a sniff. They seem pretty generous with samples through the website too.
