Default SL Chergui lovers: Try Estee Lauder Amber Ylang Ylang

This marvelous scent reminds me of both Chergui and also Spiriteuse Double Vanille: warm, gourmand and long-lasting. A great unisex warm gourmand.

Any comments from those who have tried Chergui and AYY?

l used up a mini of AYY a couple of years ago, & found it a deliciously warm but refined amber.
l have a sample of Chergui on the way as l type, so l'll let you know if it does remind me of AYY.

There is a great write-up on AYY by Victoria of Bois de Jasmin:

Finally reporting back, having tried Chergui today. l don't have any AYY handy to make a direct comparison, so l'm working from memory here, but... l can sort of see the comparison, but l think the two are similar in terms of feel, rather than sharing similar notes. Chergui seems more complex to me, with notes of hay, tobacco, incense & honey, whereas AYY is a touch more floral, & more amber-prominent. l do find them both very plush, velvety, comforting, & sweet in a non-cloying way, & both smell kind of "warm & golden", if that makes any sense. Both very nice indeed!
